Wattstull Inn, Buchanan

My husband and I stayed at this family run hotel on our trip from Connecticut to North Carolina. We had no idea when we booked our reservations what a wonderful place we happened upon. Set high on a hill it has a breathtaking view of the mountains. Our room was very clean and quiet; I had the best night’s sleep! I enjoyed our stay so much, that when I traveled south last year I stayed again. I will be heading to VA in a month and though I can make the trip in one day, I love this place so much I'm considering staying again! If you stay, don’t miss visiting the downtown area, very charming, like stepping back into the 30 -40’s.

What a hidden jewel! The view was breathtaking from the porch, the room was very clean and you can't beat the price. It was nice to sit out on the bench in front of our room at dusk, talking with other guests and soaking up the view. The restaurant at the end of the driveway was reasonably priced, all the employees quite friendly and the food great. If we're ever in the area again, we're definitely staying there.

We stopped at Wattstull Inn on a road trip from Connecticut to Georgia, and loved it so much, we stayed there on our way back. It is located on the top of a hill, with a gorgeous mountain view. The restaurant on the property was very good, and very reasonably priced. This was one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in and very charming, with wooden beams and super clean rooms. I highly recommend.
