Magnum Hotel Union City, Union City

First of all, after checking in, when we got to our room and opened the door the smell almost knocked you out ( old wet basement smell ) hesitantly going first thing I do is take the comforter off, and under the comforter was a blanket from the 70's it was so old and dingy that you could read a paper through it, and the bed sheets had wholes in them, and the pillow cases were dirty! We asked for new linnens and we changed the beds ourselves. We asked for extra towels and the manager brought them to us, then she told us if we needed fresh one's for the next day,to put these in the hall, she would have to wash them. That they didnt have enough to change out. we would have left but we had already paid for 2 nights with a no refund policy. We went to Lowe's the next morning and bought Frebreeze, It some what helped. and the bathtub someone had painted it and the paint was melting down the side. The hallways were hot and dirty and very smoky, Over all VERY NASTY! We will be coming back to Union City next year with a lot more people, We will all be staying at another hotel for sure. My advice is DO NOT Stay Here! oh yea they offer continental breakfast. it was 6 mini brown doughnuts and 6 white ones and 3 english muffins. No thanks and their pictures are decieving!

I booked this hotel through priceline was I ever disappointed. Turned the light off to go to bed got up to get a drink turned on the light and there were cockroaches. I went to the front desk the clerk was not shocked at all but what shocked me the most was he rented a room to another couple not disclosing the fact they had roaches. I would not recomend anyone to stay here.

The front desk clerk was nice but the room wasn't. The bathtub and toilet didn't look very clean and it looked like the person who "cleaned" the room wasn't worried about replacing hand towels. I won't stay there again.

We arrived late after traveling all day. It was around 2:00am. The Asst. Manager kept insisting they were the cheapest in town, and she could go no lower than her second offer. After turning down the rate offered to us we started to leave, she offered us the room thirty dollars less than the origional price. This price was comparable to others we stayed at with pools along our trip. We thanked her and went to our room. The rooms were fairly clean. There were issues with the shower, and one of the rooms felt damp. The next morning while getting coffee she came up to one of us and put her hand on our shoulder and said " I could not give these good discounts if people steal the towels, so make sure no one takes any of them." None of us could believe this statement. Not only did we not steal the towels we left early because of the insinuation. We appreciated the discount but we will never stay at this motel again no matter what the rate.
