Maui Coast Hotel, a Coast Hotel, Kihei

Beautiful newly remodled rooms. We booked the least expensive room and they upgraded us to a 1 bedroom suite when we checked in at no extra charge. The lobby was beautiful. The gardens and plants on the property were beautiful. They had free internet in the lobby. The staff was nice. There was live music at the bar/pool every night that was wonderful. The beach is about a 2 minute walk from the hotel. There are restuarants and shops within walking distance too. I don't think I could have liked this hotel better. The photos that the hotel provides on the internet is exactly what it looks like when you get there. Sometimes the photos can be deceiving that they show on the internet but not in this case. I think everything was remodeled in 2009 so it has a very new and modern feel to it. I definately would go back.

Stayed with my daughter for 5 days and spent lot's of time at the pool. Live entertainment everynight was fun too. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was larger that I anticipated and very clean. Spices restaurant was a bit disappointing went for breakfast with my daughter and it took a while to place our order and it took longer to get our food, we only ordered juice, coffee and continental breakfast. The location was great too, we walked to the beach a few times very beautiful. Complimentary newspaper and a free shuttle into town were available. I would stay here again.

I cannot tell you how thrilled we were with this hotel! We had expected for it to be a gamble because of the low rate we paid (for a suite too). The hotel was absolutely beautiful. The pool area was lovely and the bar was fantastic (great Mai Tais!). We enjoyed the restaurant there, Spices, as well. The beach across the street from the hotel was the best beach we visited the whole trip. It was perfect for swimming and easy to get to. The only issue we had was that the concierge forgot to make our dinner reservation on our last night there. We ended up having to make it ourselves on the day of, for a much later time than we'd hoped for. That aside, We will definitely book this hotel again!

The people who work there. I REALLY liked the front desk person. We loved everything about it. What more is ther to say!!!! WE LOVED OUR STAY HERE!!!!!!!!

We needed a place to stay for 1 night before getting into our condo and this was it. My wife and her sister have stayed here before. It is a nice place, quiet(except when someone pulled fire alarm at 3am). Nice pool, had breakfast at restaurant-was ok. Kind of pricey, but hey, you're on Maui! Comfortable room, convenient location.

It was very clean. close to many things that my family wented to do. The rooms were clean and very good size. The staff was great very helpful and they were willing to go out of there way to help all the people in the Hotle.

The staff is "excellent", really. They care. We were there 12/05 and are about to make a return trip. We had a 1-bed suite for 4 people, which was ok but our "children" are adults so the cot made things tight, so this year we're doing a 2-bed suite. The room was a tad 'worn' but kept spotless, and if you want fresh sheets daily, you are welcome. It's across the street from some of the best beach area if you want the beach. If not the pool is fine, as is the fitness room. The restaurant is passable and just fine for breakfast & lunch; we did dinner out. There's music at the pool in the evenings, and 2 perfectly fine tennis courts. Only 2 things marred our stay at all, and one is true everywhere and will always be a minus to me: straight sheets -- why hotels don't use fitted bottom sheets I don't know. Otherwise the beds were just fine, even the sofabed. The other was I got stuck in one of the elevators, which I guess could happen to anyone, so lucky me. Also, the big thing for us is that it is in Kihei, where you can walk to the ABC store, shops, restaurants...so you're not hostage to the resort "campus". Everything else can be arranged. So it's a place for people who are independent and don't need to fall out of bed onto the first tee. We're looking forward to a great time, at a very modest price indeed.

This hotel offered just what one needed on this beautiful island of Maui. It may not have been the most exclusive or exquisite hotel on the island, but it offers by far the best location, services, and overall convenience to shopping, beaches, airport, and various sights on the island, and at a very affordable price allowing you the flexibility to spend on other activities.

We really enjoyed this hotel. It is nothing special but has a nice pool with food and a bar and live music nightly. The maid forgot to make our bed one night, but besides that know problems! Well worth the price. Right across the street is a great beach, you could easiley walk but we drove to be even closer (there is a beach parking lot.) Although we never used it there is free internet in a room by the lobby. We had a king bed, and always had plenty of clean towels.

Loved the atmosphere. Great room and staff. Open air resturant with live music was wonderful. The only negative for some, is you had to cross the street to the beach, but that keeps the sand and insects out of the room.
