Knights Inn Elkton, Elkton

This was a major disappointment. I stayed here because the others were booked, so it was a last resort situation. Nevertheless ----- from check in to check out --- nothing was as it was advertised. It has not seen maintenance since the 70's --- mattresses were soiled and tattered, bathrooms below standard. The floor was not level as if it had been under water at some time and the musty smell supported that supposition. We went out and bought some Lysol spray and Febreeze to attempt to make the place liveable for the two nights we were committed (and had paid in non-refundable advance). Requests for linen service were ignored --- or the room attendants pretended not to understand our requests due to language, etc. Any inquiries received the response -- we are working on that and in future stays it will be taken care of ---- there will be no future stays. Also, upon check-in I was chastised for using the booking agent -- and given their business card --- saying to call direct and they will give a 30% discount ---- 100% discount would not convince me to book there again. I have stayed in other Knight's Inns and although they are not of the Marriott quality, the rooms/service were above average and there was no concern about cleanliness, etc. I cannot say the same about this property. Stay away!
