Embassy Suites Columbia - Greystone, Columbia

We stayed while traveling between VA & AL, needed a place that would accomodate 2 pets & 1 child. We were very pleasantly suprised on check in - super easy check in, beautiful central area. Pet friendly hotels tend to have some cleanliness issues, this one was very clean. We got in late so had dinner at the hotel - food was excellent, service was even better - easily exceeded expectations.

This particular Embassy Suites was a great & comfortable experience! Thre wasn't much lacking. The room I stayed in with friends was a suite. It was spacious with a doors (between the bedroom and the living room/sleeping area) for some privacy and another space. The bathroom has enough room to move around in and feel at home. The living area in the hotel was very good and comfortable. There's 2 tvs & a spacious desk. Everything was clean in orderly, not to mention nicely appointed and decorated. The hotel itself, from the exterior to the interior with its grand and huge water fountain-decorated lobby, was near impeccable. Other great things were the hot tub (with a pool, too) & gym which stayed open quite late. The gym isn't fantastically equipped, but it does the job. There is also a large dining area with a GREAT breakfast selection. In the evening, there are drinks (in the evenings they serve specials free in the breakfast area) at the bar that also has a tv. There is also a gift shop to buy tourist-y pieces and mags, candy, drinks...like one of those gas stations along travel routes. It's close enough to some things to do in Columbia. The thing that isn't so great is the location by a highway and busy-ness. But that also can be a pro if you want to get right off of highway travel conveniently to a hotel. Also, it may not be the quietest hotel. Overall, to me, it was a nice stay.

There wasn't much i didn't like about it except that the pay per view movies i wanted wouldn't come on after i had asked for it, but other than that the pool is great, the beds are extremely comfortable, and the food is great although it was a pizza that i ate that seemed like it had been ordered. Overall it is a great place to spend the night at.

The hotel was dirty from the lobby to the rooms. There was a peculiar smell in the room that I could not identify. We attempted to try the happy hour food that was offered and the chips were bad! The worst part was that a group staying at the hotel was having their family reunion and they were loud until 2:00am. We complained to the front desk who showed no concern whatsoever.

O.M.G!!! We love this hotel! My sweetie & I stayed there last weekend to celebrate our 5th anniversary & her 43 birthday. It was amazing! We got the birthday package & a corner room that was ABSOLUTELY beautiful! The room was so modern & up to date...beautiful decor, an abundance of space, a king size bed that is to die for, flat panel tvs, internet on the tv, mini fridge, complimentary water. And the breakfast is just delicious. The staff is exremely friendly & helpful. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone who likes luzery at an affordable price.

All new decor, bedding and amenities. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Fitness room was new with nice selection of equipment and squeaky clean. Food was great and service impeccable. Would stay here from now on whenever traveling through Columbia. Zoo entrance is literally a few hundred feet from the hotel. Easy on/off location to major highway.

Reservvations were terrible. It took 10 minutes for someone to answer the phone at midnight. I expected better service from a national chain.

The hotel isn't wowing, but didn't hit any major flaws. It seems to have been built at least 15 years ago, and could use some renovation, in particular with paint and flooring within the room. It had a bit of dark feel to it. The suite style was nice and would make it much more livable if a family or group of business persons were visiting for a number of days. The free breakfast buffet was nice: An omelet cook and nice variety of hot and cold foods.

awesome staff, clean rooms, buffet breakfast, waffle house across road, and platinum plus strip club within wakling distance just down the road {satisfaction guaranteed) ;-)}

We recently stayed at this Embassy Suites on our way back from Hilton Head Island. It is very close to the zoo and other attractions. The hotel seems clean and has decent amenities for the price. However, it attracts a partying element that is noisy and disturbing all throughout the night. I heard laughter, screams in the middle of the night. We also suspect that some of the people loitering around the rooms at 5am were not actually guests of the hotel or were taking shifts in a room (ie. 8 of them were crammed into a room). There were women completely dressed having conversations at 5am in front of our room. Very odd. I called the front desk and they didn't seem at all surprised by the complaint. But to their credit, they did send security. Unfortunately, we will never go back.
