Like a Vacation Near Home...

This particular Embassy Suites was a great & comfortable experience! Thre wasn't much lacking.
The room I stayed in with friends was a suite. It was spacious with a doors (between the bedroom and the living room/sleeping area) for some privacy and another space. The bathroom has enough room to move around in and feel at home. The living area in the hotel was very good and comfortable. There's 2 tvs & a spacious desk. Everything was clean in orderly, not to mention nicely appointed and decorated. The hotel itself, from the exterior to the interior with its grand and huge water fountain-decorated lobby, was near impeccable.
Other great things were the hot tub (with a pool, too) & gym which stayed open quite late. The gym isn't fantastically equipped, but it does the job. There is also a large dining area with a GREAT breakfast selection. In the evening, there are drinks (in the evenings they serve specials free in the breakfast area) at the bar that also has a tv. There is also a gift shop to buy tourist-y pieces and mags, candy, drinks...like one of those gas stations along travel routes. It's close enough to some things to do in Columbia.
The thing that isn't so great is the location by a highway and busy-ness. But that also can be a pro if you want to get right off of highway travel conveniently to a hotel. Also, it may not be the quietest hotel. Overall, to me, it was a nice stay.
