Intercontinental Downtown Milwaukee, Milwaukee

I visited the hotel on a work trip. I have stayed in Milwaukee many times but wanted to try a different hotel and one with a nice restaurant so I could have room service after a day of traveling. The hotel is downtown so the parking was an issue for me but nothing out of the ordinary if you are used to going to downtown hotels. I usuallly prefer to park in a hotel's parking lot. There is a parking ramp next to the hotel that costs $23 or valet for $30. I parked there and it was a scary parking lot with not very many spots available and easy to get lost in. After finding a spot and making my way to the hotel lobby I went to my room on the 9th floor. When I opened my room there were sheets and pillows on the floor. It seemed to be in the middle of being cleaned so I called the front desk and they quickly sent someone up with a new room key for me. Once inside my room there was a nice living area with a flat screen tv and a king size bedroom with another flatscreen (which was a little small). Nice modern fixtures and a normal bathroom with no special luxury features. The bed was comfortable with nice clean bedding. I ordered room service. The woman taking the order was very friendly. I ordered Grandma's chicken. I wish I would've asked what else was in the dish. The menu didn't say there were mushrooms and I can't stand mushrooms so that ruined the dish for me. It would've been very good without the mushrooms. I loved the crunchy onions on top and the potatoes. I also ordered a chocolate dessert that was not on the menu and it was amazing! Overall it was a good stay. The dessert caused me to give it an extra star and would be worth returning for another dessert that great.

My wife and I stayed two nights recently and loved the great service provided. The food was outstanding and the staff was super! Keep up the good work folks.

waited an extra hour for my room and the hotel did nothing to make my stay better.

Check in time was 3 p.m. I was there at 3 p.m. to check in and I was told my room would be ready in 10 minutes. I didn't get into my room until after 4p.m. The only reason I got in that quickly is because I started hanging around the front desk looking unhappy. Also, the hotel was very noisy on Saturday night with party people in the hallway from 2 a.m. until 4 a.m. The room was very nice except for the 1/2 roll of toilet paper and no extra which ran out that evening. Another example of poor service. The hotel and staff was very unpersonable and "cold". I wouldn't stay there again.

I was out there a few weeks ago and had a very nice stay at a beautiful hotel in a great location. The Bar(s) were nice and food was pretty good. Check out the Chocolate Bar if you get a chance. The hotel seemed to run very smooth…had a chance to meet one of managers in the lobby that left me with a great impression. Thank you KPS
