Super 8 Zanesville, Zanesville

The place was nice for the price. It's not a five star hotel but it was a very nice place. It's close the the interstate. All the staff I encountered were very nice. The room was clean and had no problems with anything in it. I have been to other hotels in zanesville as well Super 8 is for sure the best value in town.

I made my reservation months in advance, with a confirmation to have two queen beds. Upon checking in they provided us with a single King bed (room 321) which we had to promptly switch out - luckily they still had a double available (room 307). After unpacking and getting comfy, lying out with my laptop on the bed - I notice a bug scurry across my computer and go down the crack of my laptop case. After it re-emerged, I noticed the uncanny resemblance to what I'd seen on the news about BED BUGS! Squished the bug and marched it down to the front desk to announce that they have a problem here. The clerked donned his innocent reply of "I've never seen one of THOSE before!" and provided us with yet another change out of room - two doors down from the previous INFESTED room (room 303). As if the bugs don't travel. So, inspection of the beds has come up fairly clean... of bed bugs that is. One of the beds, upon pulling the comforters back, had a blatant blood swipe across it... of the feminine persuasion. Needless to say, I'm spending the night in this room only as long as I HAVE to... I will be checking out one night early and demanding a refund of my room - if not just for the second night that I'll be staying - but hopefully BOTH nights. Plus I'll have to make sure they won't be charging me the fee for the safe that I'm not even using, but had to sign a waiver that it will be charged unless I take it off the bill at checkout!! WHAT? No, I won't be staying here again... and I hope my report will steer many others from staying here as well. They need to clean up their act quite literally before anyone should stay there!

This was the first time I d every stayed here.....and I ll make sure I stay here everytime I get to Zanesville. Very clean rooms/friendly staff.
