The front dask help was great and they all spoke pretty good English, The pictures on their home page look nothing like the real thing, the rooms are tired looking. The room we had was really, really tight along with the shower. The pillows are tiny (you would need to ask for 2 more when you check in) The coffee was rough along with the juice. Both came out of a machine. Keep in mind you will not spend too much time in the room so that's a plus. I think the next time I would pick another hotel in the same area and spend an extra $50. I would compare this hotel to a Comfort Inn ( not suites) back in the states.

Started great and ended poorly
By ,
We stayed four days at Hotel Hiberia when we arrived in Rome. We had a beautiful room, great view, wonderful service, great breakfast, so on and so on and so on. No complaints at all. We were so happy we decided that rather than stay at an unknown hotel by the airport on our final night in Europe we would book again with Hotel Hiberia in spite of the 50 euro cab ride to the airport. We were promised the same room, which we loved, at the same rate. Hotel Hiberia's promise was not upheld. We were booked in a tiny little room, barely able to move between the desk and the bed with the bathroom down the hall at the same price we had previously paid. When we complained, the surly desk clerk moved us to a "suite"...okay, it was suite size, but was certainly not suite quality. The upholstered furniture was filthy. The throw rugs next to the bed were so filthy we covered them with towels rather than walk on them. The whirlpool bath was not functional and the shower head fell off the bracket and sprayed water all over the bathroom and anyone in the way each time we used it. The surly clerk was the only one we encountered at Hotel Hiberia during our stay than wasn't very pleasant. It was unfortunate this was the guy we got when we most needed some assistance. Wouldn't return based on our final evening, nor would we recommend to anyone else. It seems Hotel Hiberia reserves their best rooms for people staying several nights and does not honor the promises they make to past guests.

could be better
By ,
desk staff was helpful, spoke good english. but when we asked for a extra pillow once and ice another time we got a very poor attitude from the employee that the desk staff told to get them. Quad room clean, ac ok, sprays in tub did not work. Location was close enough to train station and also close to most of the attractions. Breakfast was not bad, but the lady who seemed to be in charge was not overly friendly. Overall I will probably try another hotel if I go again, just seems like when you are spending the amount of euros that it cost that all the staff should have a friendler attitude!

I recommend, grazie
By ,
My wife and I with kids ages 12 and 16 enjoyed our recent 4 night stay at Hotel Hiberia. Excellent location for walking to major attractions except Vatican City and bus stop was only 5 minute walk for that. Also bus from hotel to main train terminal (we took train to Venice)only 15 minute ride and only 1 euro each. Standard Quad room was spacious enough for the 4 of us and bathroom was recently remodled and spacious. AC worked well and water pressure was excellant. The only issue we had was breakfast typical continental..nothing special, would have been nice to have fresh fruit. The coffee was the worst I ever had...it was from a machine. They do have a separate cappachino machine behind the bar and made upon request. I will recommend Hiberia to everyone but especially a family with 2 kids. Quad rooms, let alone spacious rooms, are not easy to come by in Europe. Hotel staff was pleasant and spoke very good English. Pickup van service from airport was 60 euro and went on room charge.

Perfect location!!!!!!!
By ,
When in Rome......stay at Hiberia! Location is everything and Hiberia is in walking distance to all the sites! Everyone is friendly. Our room had a private balcony that was great to watch the sun set with a bottle of wine. Will always stay at Hiberia.
