HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE
I am not sure who the other reviewers are referring too when they say it is a friendly place. NO employee at this hotel ever said hello to us, plus they look like dirty and shady high school drops outs. I was afraid to let my kids play outside or leave my door open. The girl at the desk had oily hair, food on her shirt and a very bad attitude. Our reservation was wrong when we checked in and she pulled out this kindergarten project cardboard poster, erased, rewrote, erased again, and said OK now. The parking situation and unloading area is a circus. You cannot leave your car parked and take your bags to the room. You must unload and move the car immediately, leaving your bags and family unattended. The room keys are ancient and took me 5 minutes to unlock the door. The late night clerk made a pass at my wife when she went to get ice. When she told me, I went to confront him. He said "it was a misunderstanding" and then offered me a beer ! I reported the incident to the same oily haired girl the next morning and she said "He is married, and wouldn't do that". I asked to speak to a manager/owner and she said they were not going to be in that day. I said we were going to be leaving, and she shrugged.
Yes, the rooms are cheap, and so is everything else. I surely learned the lesson of "you get what you pay for". I will gladly pay twice as much in the future for the hospitality I expect.
