Greenwood ROCKS!!!!

My dad stayed there when he was growing up, he is 54 this yr. I spent a week out of EVERY summer for 20yrs, there. Yes, it is not a Double Tree but who needs that when your on the beach. Very clean, very nice and great people. The Greenwood is/was a classic. I'll miss you when your gone!

I think they sold their place to some developers. That's what they said they were going to do when I last stayed there in April of 2005. I just tried calling them and the number has been disconnected.

Sad Sailors

This was my spot to stay during the Round the Island Race each September. Lots of sailors will miss it. Changes are not always for the best. So glad we enjoyed it thru the 80s and 90s. Will be another story for the grandkids... "Well we used to stay right on the beach for $50 and had a pool too!"

mom & pop motel

My family has been going to the Greenwood for over 16 years. It is a mom & pop type motel that, even tough it may not be as nice as some others, the people are very personable, and make your stay pleasant.

We love this hotel!

We searched everywhere for a place to stay and the cheapest one that I could find was the Greenwood Inn. So we took it. But then when we got to our room we were breathtaken by the view and the staff was very friendly. It seemed like a nice family vacation spot. We just could't belive how much we got for what we paid. Thanks Greenwood Inn. We'll be back soon!

a cheap but good place to stay

This motel is close to the beach and sits right on the bay. It's very cheap compared to most hotels in the area. Staff is friendly and gave us a good room with a balcony on the bay. The room was a little seventies, orange chair, olive green lamp shades. There is a public beach access right across the street with a bathroom and showers. Its not really a motel for a week vacation but if you just want a weekend at the beach its perfect.
