Great place for families
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/08/09
I wasn't sure what to expect on this one. I read mixed reviews on line. Anyway, I brought my 9 year old daughter to this hotel for five days. The lobby is beautiful, the gardens are very nice and the pool area is great for kids! On Friday and Saturday night they showed movies by the pool. The heated pool is great and my daughter met quite a few friends. Kids eat free at one of the restaurants on-site, but I wasn't impressed. The on-site Pizza Hut was better, and always busy. It is located inside a little store/ice cream shop/restaurant that offers just enough to get by (snacks, soda, Starbuck's coffee, etc.). Another plus was the guest laundry facility. A theme park shuttle is included in your room charge. Great if you are going to Epcot, because it makes several runs there and back during the day. However, if you are planning to visit Sea World or Universal, be ready to stay from 8:00 - 6:00, because that is what the bus schedule requires. All in, it worked for us though! As another reviewer said - don't expect the Ritz and you'll be fine! This place is laid back, nice and a good spot for families.

Don't stay here!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/13/09
We just returned from this hotel today after a weeks stay. I would never go back! The room was disgusting. Big stains on the carpeting, bathroom was nasty, holes in the towels, rooms smelled. We had two rooms and the first day we were there we left for Disney at 8:30 a.m. and came back at 10:00 p.m. to rooms that hadn't been cleaned. When we called down to let them know at the front desk, they were rude. We asked for more towels for the next day and one room got them but the other did not. There is an $11.00 daily charge that they do not mention until you get there. This is for activities at the hotel and shuttle to Disney (whether you use them or not). The sleep number bed is an extra $20 per day which we were not aware of and chose not to pay for. I see why they offer it though because the beds are rock hard! There is 18% gratuity charged to all meals in their resteraunts even if you carry out. Towels weren't always available at the pool area and they tell you not to bring the ones from your room down. When they are available, they are little thin towels that would be fine for a child, not beach towels like you might expect. Here is the kicker.....I was going to write this review in the morning but I am up in the middle of the night not able to sleep because my 3 year old daughter has bumps all over her legs now and has been itching. I'm just PRAYING like mad that the hotel didn't have bed bugs!!!! In all fairness I will say that the pools and resteraunts are nice but that would not bring me back! We stayed out of our room as much as possible to avoid being bummed out. I was afraid to let my children play in there. I travel a lot for work and stay in a lot of different hotels. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in as far as rooms go. They really need to put a lot of work into fixing these rooms up. In the end I received $15.00 off my bill. They wanted to give me a free night stay..........too funny.

Very enjoyable stay (From Canada)
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/14/09
I was down in Orlando for a convention at the Gaylord Palms. I decided to stay here instead as the rates were very reasonable. The hotel furnishings seem a little dated but the rooms are clean. The staff here are excellent. They are very friendly and give the place a friendly experience, they make you feel as if you have known them for years. I stayed for 4 days and when my family and I come back to Florida I will definately book here again.

Can't Wait To Go Back
By JAMIE, 04/03/08
This hotel is beautiful. We loved it and so did the kids. Mandolins restaraunt was awesome. The hotel was very clean and the sleep number beds added that special touch. The kids could not wait to leave Disney and get back to the hotel. We plan on going back very soon and will probably just hang out at the pool and hot tub. The pools are beautiful and our kids could not get enough of the slide located at the bigger pool. We can't wait to go back to the Radisson.

bad service for shuttle
By Lourdes, 03/30/08
The hotel look nice from outside, but the bathroom is very small, the housekeeper very nice, when we check in we had a nice person but we check out was a rude men.For the food the Pizza Hut charge for 15% for service and not included the tip(food very expense)People when you do reservation ask about the shuttle service they had limited on the ride to the parks, we feel worried the lost de shuttle because they don give more buses to return tho hotel and sometimes you wanna stay late to see the firework and you can go on time to take the ride is a big distance from park to the parking lot one nigth we has to pay a taxi they had a bad service with the drivers shuttle and they expect you gave a tip because is part the driver salary.Next time i think is better stay into the disney ressort we see they had humongous line buses and flexible hours day and mostly nights and they have a big buses not small van the PLATINUM line is awful

Poor Experience All-Around
By kryssa21, 12/11/07
I recently stayed here for an industry conference I was in town for and was very disappointed in the hotel. My room was not nice and felt dirty and out of date. At one point, my room service order was lost and I waited nearly 90 minutes for a salad. Though to their credit, they did not end up charging me for it. There is a Pizza Hut in the lobby, so in my mind, that kind of sums up the experience. If you're a family on a budget, it's probably an OK choice, but as a traveling executive, I was disappointed with the overall experience.

Old Hotel, not in a charming way
By Ilene T, 11/14/07
I was visiting Orlando for business and was disappointed in this hotel from the moment I stepped into the lobby and saw the Pizza Hut. This is definitely not a 'business' friendly hotel nor does it meet expectations for a business traveler. That said, with my 'mommy' hat on, I would have not stayed here with my family either. The hallways are dark and I was uncomfortable with the lack of 'key card' security in use. The rooms were very small, very small bathrooms and no sitting area. The sprinklers hit my window at 1am waking me up. The AC unit worked (unlike my coworkers) but sounded like a jet engine in my room while it ran.

BACK ON MONTHLY BASIS.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/24/07
ALTHOUGH THE BATHROOMS NEEDED SOME MAJOR RE-DO THE HOTEL THE STAFF, COST , AND LOCATION WAS EXCELLENT. I JUST FEEL THAT THEY SHOULD PUT SOME MONEY INTO RENOVATING THE BATHROOMS. IT HAD CRACKS. IN SINK AND TUB , THE STOPPER DID NOT WORK. THE FOOD IS EXPENSIVE I PAID 25.00 FOR THREE PIECE OF CHICKEN NOTHING INCLUDED WITH THE CHICKEN AND CHILD PIZZA 6". AT THE LITTLE PLACE IN LOBBY. WALKING DISTANCE TO CHARLYS STEAK HOUSE WAS WORTH IT. BUT ALL IN ALL WHEN I GO TO ORLANDO I WILL ALWAYS STAY AT THE RADDISON, IN KISSIMMEE IT IS BEAUTIFUL. FRIENDLY, RELAXING AND FUN.

Don't stay here!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/03/07
Unreliable service! 1st of all: I had requested the sleep number bedrooms and 2 adjoining rooms and it was confirmed over the phone. When we got there, they weren't available. 2nd: The air conditioner was moldy. 3rd: Don't ever request for a crib - it was a cheap hard mattress. WORST of ALL: We got charged for 2 movies at $14.92 each on the same night that we did not order! When we asked the manager to explain what movies we were charged for, he said that he is unable to release that information for privacy reasons! Privacy reasons? These are movies I'm been charged for watching, yet it can't be disclosed? Scandalous...beware of hidden charges!!
