Wouldn't miss our annual trip with our scout pack!
We love Camp Rich! Our scout pack has held their annual winter camp there for several years now. We had one problem a few years back, but the folks at the lodge bent over backwards to make things right for us, and we all deeply appreciated their willingness to do so.
The cabins are perfect for those looking for privacy and quiet. The lodge is great for socializers as it has a huge common room with an equally huge fire place. There are no phones or TVs in the rooms/cabins (ah, peace!), but there is a TV in the common room. The restaurant on the lake is a bit pricey for families, but they have always welcomed those of us who have dined there. The music there is live, and we've never been disappointed with the tunes. There is also a boat house available for parties, etc.
For folks expecting a 5 star, air tight, dust free, "light startch on my shirts, please" hotel, this is not for you (the casinos are across the lake). For those who want to experience the Seirra's in a rustic, historic and charming setting off the beaten path, I encourage you to pick up the phone and make your reservation!
