Worst hotel ever
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/01/10
This is the worst hotel I`ve been at, I stayed there in December 2009 and a soap with Kiwi Seeds provided by the hotel and left in the room by them, caused scratches on my leg and left 2 bleeding wounds of about 10 inches each, they took photos and I filed a complaint that they answered in a very mean way 2 weeks later. Right now I have two scars that are never going to heal. This was their answer: ^I do not see where Atlantis has any liability in this case. The box that the soap comes in is clearly marked "Soothing Vanilla fragranced exfoliating soap enriched with Kiwi Seeds..." You were in better control than Atlantis of the way that you used the soap and if you have a claim that the bar of soap caused you injury, that claim would be with the manufacturer of the soap and not Atlantis.¨ This hotel doesn’t care about their guests, they only care about the money you spend there. I will recommend never to stay there.

Screw this hotel
By Victor, 12/28/09
My family and I went on December 24th, 2009 and stayed there for 2 nights. When we first arrived, there weren't any shower cap, lotion, toothbrush, or toothpaste. There weren't any shower gel that we had to use the soap, and it was mold. We called the housekeeping and he told us to get it from the store in the lobby. And they called themselves a 4 star hotel... its even worse than a rural motel, because at least they provide basic necessities instead of forcing us to buy them from the super expensive store in the lobby. There is no way we are ever going to go to the hotel ever again and never recommend this hotel to our friends.

Fabulous Hotel!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/19/09
We booked our stay directly with the hotel's 800# after viewing info (pricing, rooms, availability, etc.) on their website. We were charged $63 for Thursday night and $108 for Friday night. We arrived from Central California at 1:30 pm on Thursday of the Annual Air Race weekend. We had requested a 'quiet room' away from the elevators. Our room was ready when we arrived and we were checked-in quickly and efficiently. We booked a non-smoking, 2-queen bed room in the Tower. Our beds looked great and inviting. Each bed contained 4 regular sized pillows, two queen sized pillows, and one large bolster pillow. FINALLY a hotel that provides enough pillows. :) All personnel we encountered were professional and pleasant. Even though parking is free (whether self park or valet), all parking is outside (no parking garage or underground parking). Not necessarily a problem, just something of note. If you are not wanting to eat at the hotel, there is a McDonald's, Olive Garden, Claim Jumper, L&L Hawaiian BBQ, Arby's, Jimboy's Tacos, and Wendy's restaurants within 15 minutes walking distance (approx 1/2 mile?). Please note that this hotel (and the Peppermill nearby) are approx 4-5 miles from "the downtown hotels/casinos". We would definitely visit again.

Shame on Priceline and the Atlantis.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/16/09
Booked two nights at the 4 star level through Priceline for Aug 14, l5th. Bid was accepted by the Atlantis. Upon arrival was told that there would be an additional charge of $10 per day for spa use and that Priceline should have told me this in advance. My girlfriend tried to use the gym and was told that she would have to pay $7.50 additional each time. Our room was on the 4th floor of the Luxury? Tower overlooking the parking lot and the two story motel wing. The room and appointments were similar to what one would find in a newer Comfort Inn (but without the refrigerator, microwave and free breakfast). After getting home and checking the Atlantis home page I discovered that I could have walked in off the street and booked the room we had for about the same "great deal" price that I paid on Priceline thinking that I was getting a 4 star hotel experience. I feel ripped off. Priceline quoted me a total charge price that clearly states that it included taxes and service fees. The Atlantis added $10 a night. The Atlantis accepted my bid for a 4 star room and provided a 2 1/2 to 3 star room. Fool me once......Never again.

No More Staying in This hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/29/09
Screw this hotel b/c the cheapest room is outside the hotel, and I dont even know. When you notice and went for an upgrade and is additional $30. + the room has no refrigerator ( the so call nicer room ), no shower gel ( hate using soap ), no tooth brush and paste. However, a very nice indoor swimming pool, but with a paying SPA...

Awesome, Down to Earth, Going Back again!
By Rose, 07/02/09
We stayed at the Atlantis October 2008. Booked on Hotwire for about 30-40 per night. We just wanted the bargain, but then we fell in love with the place. If you need five star, this isnt the place for you, but I am somewhat picky and I LOVED it. The buffet far surpassed a 35 buck per person buffet we did a few days before in Vegas, I loved the buffet so much. I was sooo cheap and good. The dessert section was like a magical place! We had driven from Oregon to Utah to Vegas, with our last stop in Reno. We had driven this crazy stretch of desolate highway all day on our way from Vegas to Reno. By the time we got to the Atlantis, I was having a meltdown. When the man brought me my room service, which was priced like eating at Shari's but better food(very affordable), he saw me crying, tired and homesick. He set my food up around me on the bed, and talked to me until I felt at home. He was awesome. Same guy delivered the whole time! On the floor, plenty of drink opportunities, and the slots were very good to us. Our room was in the Atrium tower. It was not bad in any way. Furniture nice, everything clean and newer looking. I would never stay in the Motor lodge that our room overlooked, though. It looked like a scary, two story apartment building. If you don't want to have a parking lot/motor lodge view, ask for a "mountain" view, not a "city" view. I am going back fthere for sure. This place has a great down to earth vibe, leaving it perfectly below pretentious and above mediocre.

House Cleaning Stole my Valuables!
By Terence, 03/31/09
The housekeeping staff stole over $300 in property from my room and hotel management feels no responsibility to reimburse me. Other hotel personnel agreed that housecleaning has a poor reputation for such indiscretions, but management has treated me and my wife like the crooks. Don't visit Atlantis if you want your valuables to be safe. Management has treated us without any respect since the incident and is now ignoring my e-mails and phone calls. Stay at your own risk.

Atlantis is a DUMP!.. Go to the Peppermill
By Troy and Veronica R, 12/30/08
We made our reservations a week prior to our stay. The morning of the day we were to arrive, we called to double check that all was correct with our reservation and told them that we would need a crib for our infant. The person at the Atlantis said that wouldn't be a problem and everything was set. We arrived at 9pm after a very long drive in traffic with 4 kids in the car. The line at check-in was long and slow. Once checked in, we went to our room to find only 1 bed and the bed spread was not only soiled but had cigarette burns all over. We made reservation for 2 queen. My husband called down to let them know about the mistake and the problems with the room. The "Guest Service" women that answered the phone said that there was nothing that could be done. That was the only room available to us and because we booked through one of the hotel websites(cheaptickets.com, hotel.com, expedia.com, etc.) we were not guaranteed anything. I was in shock how rude the women was talking to me. I told her that I had children and we could not all sleep in one bed and there has to be another room in the large Casino. She told me only in a smoking room. I told her I had 2 kids under the age of 2 and that wouldn't work. She said we'll that's all I can give you. I asked her to look again and she said no thats it. I asked her for the crib and she said they ran out. By this time I was pissed off... I asked to speak with the manager and she said she was it. I told her I needed to speak with someone above her and she refused and said she was the only one available for the evening. I finally just hung up and called housekeeping and asked for a roll-away bed with extra pillows and blankets. My husband then went down stairs and found a manager on duty and talked to him about what had occured. The so called Manager Women was just some bullshit phone operator. We were told to come back downstairs at 9am and they would switch us to a new room with 2 beds. Well the next morning came and the room was not ready and would not be until 11am. So that set back our plans for the day. We went back at 11am and they told us the room was being cleaned to come back at 1pm. Finally at 1:30pm we are in our new room. I called for the crib and it came within 1 hour. I requested blankets and pillow from the housekeeping lady and she said she would be right back. After waiting for an hour we decided to leave. I called later that evening and asked again for the blankets and pillow. The lady told me we're out of blankets.. What?? My husband and I had enough.. we were so ready to just leave that day. The customer service is HORRIBLE!! We will never step foot into Atlantis. When we drove down the street we ran into the Peppermill. Very Nice, just recently renovated and looks like it belongs in Las Vegas. Makes the Atlantis look like a dump! The overall rooms condition would be like a Motel 6. Cheezy decor and cigarette burned bed spreads. Does not smell clean either.

I was surprised with the Motorlodge
By tinamarie, 11/20/08
I thought I was not going to be satisfied with the Atlantis Motorlodge. It was great! Our room was very clean and everything was comfortable. Seemed like we should of paid more then $49 a night. I will stay at the Atlantis lodge more often and save money and use the rest to gamble with. The room was great! No bugs no dirt very clean smelling. No use in paying hundreds of dollars for a room in the main casino. Why? When you can spend the rest on dinner and gambling. Wow!!!!
