Never Again.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/8/11
Rooms small, beds small and noisy, swimming pools were more the size of a hot tub than a pool. Parking lot was small. Friend had a dent put into their car in the Hotel Parking Lot (which states it has security cameras)and no one would help them find out who hit them. Rooms were stale and musty. Breakfast food was marginal at best. Front desk staff was as close to useless as you can get. Will not be back.

By Family1, 7/14/10
Was booking my reservation and the General Manager was VERY rude to me!!! I would never call or stay here if someone paid me that is how rude he was!!! I am from Texas that is just not how we talk to people! General Manager is customer service so if does not have any what can you say about the people that work for him.

Great personal service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/9/09
St. Pierre Hotel was wonderful. The entire staff went out of their way to ensure that our stay was memorable. (especially John, who I wanted to take home with me.) The front desk staff made all arrangements for any event that you wanted to attend, were courteous and efficient. I can't imagine staying in a generic high rise hotel in New Orleans. I can't wait to go back.

We found a home at the St. Pierre
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/22/09
My wife and I recently stayed at the Hotel St. Pierre and we both agree it is a wonderful place to stay in New Orleans. 2 blocks from Bourbon Street and a quick 5 block walk to Cafe Dumond. I brought coffee and bignets each morning and enjoyed the quiet of early morning in the French Quarter. The staff was extremely helpful as they were attentive to any and all needs we had. I simply cannot say anything bad about them. They were awesome. This was our honeymoon and we did a lot of the tourist activities as well as sampling as much of the local resturants as one can do in 6 days. If you are looking for a "classy" and hoity-toity place where you can get lobster at 4 am, good luck. If you are looking for a good place to use as home base while you discover the finest qualities of the french quarter, you can find no better place than the Hotel St. Pierre. Be advised that the brick cobblestone walkways don't lend themselves to a luggage cart but I found that appreciative tipping goes a very long way and in my opinion the staff deserves it. We will be back again and again. We found a home at the St. Pierre. I hope this was helpful

Don't go there!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/10/08
This was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we have ever had. We booked a suite and when we got to the hotel to check in we were immediately disappointed in the physical appearance. The lobby looked like a flop house with a bunch of people sitting around. The woman who checked us in made a joke about not having our reservation. Then they complained about the amount of luggage we had and led us up this precipitous stairway to a two-room suite with NO WINDOWS! It was so depressing and didn't smell too good either. We unpacked and became more depressed every time we opened a drawer or closet. It just didn't feel clean. Finally, we decided we just could not stay in the room, so we requested another room assignment. They did accommodate us and the second room, while not a suite was much more acceptable with two windows that looked out onto the street. It felt a little cleaner, too, until I opened the shower curtain. The shower nozzle drizzled so bad we had to request that they change it. They did. It helped. But the floor of the tub was fiberglass and the finish was peeling off of it and it gave under your feet. It was just not comfortable. I would recommend that anyone looking at this hotel stop where they are and look elsewhere. We would never stay there again, and would never, ever recommend it to anyone. The only saving grace was that one of the clerks was very friendly and helpful. There were always a lot of people hanging around though. It felt like we were staying in someone's home we weren't comfortable with.

Do not stay here!
By TY, 2/8/08
My wife and I stayed at this hotel because their sister hotel Andrew Jackson Hotel did not have a double bed room we had reserved. After being shown a double bed room at Andrew Jackson, then told an hour later it was not available, our credit card company told us to check the Hotel St. Pierre. The Andrew Jackson Hotel staff told us no double bed rooms were available at the Hotel St. Pierre. When we arrived less than 1 hour later, there were 2 double bed rooms available, but there was a problem. Only one room had heat. (the hotel web site states that the rooms are heated). The room with heat was only available with an "upgrade" of $20 per night. At this point I gave up. It was 40 degrees outside. To be fair to the Hotel St. Pierre, I emailed the G.M. after we returned home, asking why we could not have a double bed room that we had reserved. He replied that he was "vaguely familiar with the situation" and that he would get back with me. I never heard from him again. My credit card company contacted the hotel & the G.M. stated he would resolve the situation with me personally. When I told the credit card company he had not gotten back with me, they contacted him again. The G.M. told the credit card company that the hotel server crashed and he had no information about what happened during my stay. He offered me a 2 free night stay at the hotel. I declined. Why would I go back to this hotel? First my room wasnt available, then it was available, then after it was shown to us, it wasn't available. Their sister hotel had no double rooms available, then it had 2, but the one room with heat (in 40 degree weather) was an extra charge of $20 a night? It has taken me over 1 month to get this situation resolved & I still have no explanation of what happened. I love New Orleans, and I will go back again, but I will never stay at this hotel again.

STEER CLEAR!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/2/08
When we got in the room we had booked was so tiny that our 4 people wouldn't even fit, so we had to upgrade to a double for a big fat $75/night charge. This pushed our room rate into ridiculousness, and they did it cause they knew it was a busy weekend and we were out of options. The floor of the room was slanted at about a 45 degree angle (it felt like that) so trying to sleep was an exercise in staying on the bed. The water pressure was bad, and the shower had a habit of going freezing cold without any warning...great for waking up but not so great if you like hot showers. The place had a weird funk and the room smelled like old cigars, and the price just made us feel like we were really really getting ripped off. I'd say any hotel in the French Quarter would have to be better than this one!

What A DUMP !!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/13/07
Maybe if this hotel charged $50-60/night one could understand the indifference, incompetence, sub-par rooms/baths, dirty, dirty bedspreads (I had to remove mine entirely and cover the blanket with 2 clean sheets - I was terrified of what/who had been on top of the thing)..an art gallery booked me into this place, everything else I was familiar with was SOLD OUT because of a huge convention...the front desk had NO record of the reservation, so check-in was difficult. Walking up the exterior stair, built at the time of the civil war (about 18" wide)which is a terrible hazard for anyone but a monkey, they suffering the sight of the most hideous room in New Orleans was just too much. I checked out as soon as I could find ANY OTHER HOTEL WITH A ROOM, St. Pierre charged me $189 because they said they had a 3-night minimum (?). The entire point of this is: The OMNI Royal Orleans, The Place des'Armes, ++++ all charge less for beautiful, convenient rooms, with every possible amenity &/or service. NO ONE should get rooked into staying at this dive! This was my 61st trip to New Orleans. I have travelled the world. Never have I seen a place this bad.

Very Nice!
By Sue, 7/15/07
My son and I stayed there for a week while I went on job interviews, and it as very nice. The rooms were small, but efficient enough. The staff was wonderful! It was located far enough from the noise of the usual French Quarter, but close enough to everything. I highly recommend this hotel!

Charming and close to Bourbon St.
By Sarai, 6/4/07
Small charming hotel. Parking was an issue, since there was non-available. I have to walk about 7-8 blocks to park my car. Air conditioning does not have an automatic control, it was running all the time and room was a freezer. Service was courteous, but I am not sure if I would like to stay there again, and if I do is because the price of the hotel is very affordable.
