Motel 6, Lake Charles

Well I thought this one would be half decent but I was wrong. Me and my husband stayed here while we were on a 2 day trip June 1 & 2 2009. We stayed in room 244. Here is a list of things that were not up to standards. 1- The toilet had not been flushed, much less cleaned 2- Light bulbs were missing from a few of the lights 3- Orange stains on carpet. 4- Spider webs in all the coroners & roaches in and around the sink. 5- Bathroom floor was sticky. 6- Bathroom door was broken. 7- Remote did not work. 8- Shower curtain had mold spots on it. 9- Air condition cover was missing & filter was very dirty. 10- We had to change the bedding ourselves because their were some sort of stains on the sheets. Trust me from now on I will bring my own sheets from home if I EVER stay at another motel 6 anywhere again. The nice things about the room was that the bed was comfortable, the air conditioner was nice and cool in the room. I WOULD NOT RECOMEND THIS HOTEL to even my mother - in- law It was not worth the money we spent on the room at all.

We checked in and went to the room, the curtains were ripped off the windows, and it was filthy and stained. I went to the front desk and got a refund and went to another motel. I learned later that the Motel 6 Lake Charles rents out rooms by the hour. I would stay in my car before I would stay at that motel. We stayed in a Motel 6 in Canton, Texas the night before and it was the best Motel 6 experience we have ever had. The room was clean and in great shape, it was truly a home away from home. Stay away from the Motel 6 in Lake Charles, Louisiana! I wish I could give minus 10 stars.
