Ramada Limited Savannah Airport, Pooler

Arranged my stay for two days via Expedia. Disappointing at best. This place is perhaps 20 years old and recently refurbished on the inside. The exterior is the same drab place I remember. When I arrived there was a hidden pet fee of $10 as displayed on the counter. There was also a warning that a $75 fee would apply if you didn't tell them you had a pet. It also stated that dogs were only allowed in the room for 1 night. What sense does this make? I had my little dog with me so I told them I had him. I also told the Expedia reservation clerk when i arranged my travel and they didn't tell me about any additional cost. Then the clerk couldn't figure out how to override the reservation info as it was arranged through Expedia and the cost isn't supposed to change. She had to call someone to override the cost as arranged. The lobby smelled of tobacco smoke. The room carpet was filthy and needed shampooing and the bed closest to the door had the under cloth material laying on the floor. The room itself was OK at best. I paid about $69 per night in a place that should have been about $45 per night. The competition isn't enough to drive this cost down.

Talk about dirty.....mold & mildew all over the exterior of the buildings. Stains on carpet and box springs. It smells TERRIBLE inside the room. Moldy smell very strong. Old LUMPY pillows on bed. Cigarette burns on bedspread in Non-smoking room! Nasty is all my family can say! The exterior is just as bad as the interior.

The room was clean, really clean. The beds were heaven. Even better than mine at home. Did I mention value? Wow. Great hotel.

The first impression of the hotel is that it is old but the rooms are not dirty. I used to work in hotel business and I know what to check for and trust me these housekeepers were on point. The rooms were very clean and the staff was very friendly and went out of there way to make you feel at home. The location was excellent, it wasn't but about 8 miles outside of Savannah. The room we stayed in had two bedrooms, a living area and one and 1/2 bathroom with washer and dryer. The mattresses were Sertas and the most comfortable I have slept on in a hotel. Let me tell you for 53.00 a night, you can't beat that deal with a stick. Thanks to all the staff for such an excellent stay.
