Hampton Inn Airport, Columbus

I stayed here for a few days in December to be with a family member who was at Hughston Hospital. This location offers a discounted rate for Hughston Hospital patients and family members. The staff was exceptional, very friendly and helpful. The grounds are very well lighted at night so I felt safe. It appears that this place has been updated recently. The corners are still a little dusty and dirty and not what I am used to in other Hampton Inns that I've stayed recently. After my first night there I went to the front desk to let them know that the bathtub was not draining, the tub faucet was more than a steady drip and the shower curtain was falling down. There was an "executive" type in the office in addition to the front desk personnel. She immediately apologized and offered to comp my stay for the night and said there was recently a turn over in staff and that things would be fixed that day. I returned that evening and nothing had been done. Faucet was still pouring, shower curtain falling down and the bathtub was about to run over when I completed my shower. I checked out the next day and informed the front desk clerk that none of my complaints had been seen to. This time there was no "executive" type in the office. The front desk clerk said here's your bill. There was no apology, no offer to comp. This time I should have asked for comp since it was not taken care of as they promised and I didn't take it when offered. I enjoyed all my stay here except taking a shower standing in knee deep dirty water.
