Adams Inn, Washington

This was a great place to stay for our first visit to DC. You really can't beat the location and the landscape. At a time when DC was very busy with tourists, we didn't feel crowded at all. The rooms are big, and clean. The amenities are top notch, and the staff was helpful. I will say that while the rooms are decorated beautifully, the white curtains on the 10' windows do nothing for blocking out the sun at 5 am. Even at night, with the street lights... the rooms were very bright. The breakfasts were a great way to meet guests and get recommendations on places/events to see in DC. However, breakfast isn't served until 8 (8-9:30) which, I felt was a little late. Several mornings we had to catch breakfast down the road, because we were getting an early start. Otherwise... a wonderful place to stay, and if given the opportunity... I will go back.

We had a wonderful experience at Adams Inn. The staff, especially Anne, will help you with anything. The rooms were big and spacious, and beautifully decorated. Even though we had to share a bath, it was no problem. The bathroom was constantly kept clean and stocked. Breakfast was the best part, where everyone would sit around this great, big dining room table and talk to each other about our plans.
