Don't book it
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/10/09
I wish I would have read reviews first before booking this "hotel". First off, it was not a hotel, it was a motel. Pictures on their website are very deceiving. It looked clean, well kept and like it offered good service. It was complete opposite. We weren't looking for much. We were their for a quick stay (one night). We just wanted an affordable room at a hotel that was clean were we could take a swim in the pool/hot tub, sleep take a shower and go. As we approached the building, I said this couldn't possibly be it but after double checking our confirmation address it was it. It was old, EXTREMELY run down, and dirty looking. The staff were nice, but did not look professional at all... more like slobs.. which was a word that really suited this hotel. I inquired about the hours of their hut tub.. it was under long term maintenance. It did not surprise me at all by the look of the place. If it wasn't, I would have never gone in anyways. We checked into our "motel" room, it was again, run down, things needed repairing, it stunk like mold. I slept but horribly questioning myself if they washed the sheets. It was so gross... I didn't even take a shower. We woke up and left right away. The price is good but not worth it at all. Keep looking folks until they clean up their act. To me it wasn't acceptable!

Excellent experience
By Concerned, 06/27/09
A very pleasent experience. Huge rooms and a friendly staff. We had a slight issue with the toilet getting plugged in our room due to my son trying to flush something that he shouldn't have. The staff was very polite about it ahd even gave us a different room because they weren't able to get the toilet fixed that night. The only issue was that the pool area was a little dirty, but not too bad. I would Highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in the Twin Cities.

Don't waste your time
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/27/09
The bathroom in hour "hotel" room had mold behind the toilet. The door led to the outside so we could hear cars ALL night. The pool was tiny and the hot tub had boards nailed over it...needless to say there was no swimming. It was nice to have a fridge and microwave but would have easily even that up for the comfort inn across the street for about the same price. Please, keep your money. You can find another place!

Well maintained !
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/21/08
Though not very cheap, like everthing else in the area, the hotel was lovely. It was clean, well maintained, and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was good, and the hospitality was appreciable. The beds and pillows were the best and we had a good night's sleep.

Friendly People !
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/26/08
A friendly hotel. I was to find a reasonable priced hotel, at the last minute, that would also provide a clean and comfortable accommodation. So I am pleased with this hotel in Bloomington.. They were nice and hospitable.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/06/08
This was our first time in Minnesota and I know this hotel is no indicator of how the state is, but if it were, we would never come again. Our first problem was @ check-in. We had booked through expedia and the clerk would not honor the price that expedia, had quoted and confirmed to me in the form of an e-mail which I had with me. We were charged approximately $85 more than what expedia confirmed. There are no elevators and we were on the third floor. The pool is on the first floor and the rest are upstairs. The heater wouldn't shut off, blasted hot air constantly and we had to be moved, necessitating another walk with 4 pieces of luggage to the 2nd floor. The swimming pool was too cold to swim in everyday but one and the hot tub was out of order for 2 days and so cold, nobody could get into it. You could hear noise from all over and there was a couple in the parking lot, fighting one evening and our pizza delivery driver would not get out of the car, because of it. The only good thing I can say about it was how clean the maids cleaned the room. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Worth the Price.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/05/08
The hotel provided good accommodation. The room was well furnished and maintained.I liked the location-it was well close all the shopping areas and was easy to connect to the places of interest. The two night stay here was reasonable considering the good service they provided.

just okay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/30/07
I've stayed here a couple of diffenrent times on buisness, the rooms are older but for the most part clean, Definatly bring your own pillow, One time I didn't and my allergies were really BAD! We brought back foodto our room, the next day when we got back from our meeting it was gone even though it was sitting right next to our other belongings and it wasn't anything that would spoil! Other then that it's an okay place to stay if you need a clean room with a good price and location

You get what you pay for!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/08/07
Don't expect too much if you decide to stay here. We just needed a place to sleep for the night for our quick weekend to Mall of America- and we got what we paid for. If we had been driving around searching for a hotel we would have NEVER even pulled into this parking lot. My husband and I were ok with our room (in the same area as the pool) but my parents got stuck in a HOLE of a room with a terrible terrible bathroom. It is close to the mall but THAT'S IT!

Grat bargain
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/01/07
We has the Sleepy Bear family suite. The room was very large. It had 2 queen sized beds, a fridge, microwave & table with 2 chairs. There was plenty of room for our 3 & 5 year olds to run around & play. The hotel manager was very pleasant. The maid service was excellent. The beds were amazingly comfortable. Overall, we have nothing to complain about. Great hotel 3 minutes from Mall of America.
