Lovely Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/7/10
My boyfriend and I stayed there and had a great time. The room was good, not plush but had everything one would need or want. The pool is beautiful and a separate one for the kids even kid care if needed. Right on the beach with many extras. The dining was excellent. Evenings usually had life music at dinner and entertainment by the pool. The beach and ocean wonderful. We plan to go again.

Indian Ocean meets African Coast
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/8/09
Bamburi Beach Hotel was a fun and restful experience. The servers were very happy and helpful.Mercy is a the hostess and she went out of her way to help and humour us too.Carol was one of our favourite servers as she was polite and cheerful. She always went the extra mile to see we were looked after. Abraham was a games organizer and areobics instuctor who always made the time fun.The food was varied and depending on the night was fair but not over the top buffet style. We met so many people from all over the world there and seemed to be the rare birds being fom Canada.I would say that we would go back easily mostly because of the warm people there.

Impressive
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/22/07
I recently went to Kenya on safari and stayed at the Bamburi Beach Hotel for one night and I was quite impressed The staff were reasonably helpful, but some were a bit miserable. However, the others, especially waiters/waitresses and the manager were very friendly. The rooms were mainly clean and tidy, but the shower was a bit dodgy in both mine and my grandparent's room! The room I had overlooked the swimming pool and bar; this was a lovely view, but the evening entertainment was very loud and made it difficult to sleep as it went on past 11pm. The food was quite nice; it was a buffet. However we were only there for breakfast. The evening entertainment was Masai dancing and music. The Masai were excellent and there was a chance to have photographs taken with the warriors and an opportunity to buy Masai souvenirs. The bar was lovely, and you could have a drink whilst watching the Masai perform. Overall, this hotel was very good! However there are a few things that could be improved, but this goes for any hotel!

By Jan, 6/20/07
problems were quickly resolved, friendly staff, good food all round value for money. rooms basic but comfortable, lovely views good pools.overall services were excellent, would recomend booking trips with the beach boys as they give more value for money. there was nothing to dislike about the hotel.

Ick.
By Judith, 5/15/07
The Bamburi could have been anywhere in the world. It was just like a middle of the road Carribean/Florida all inclusive "resort" where blue wristbands are required at all times. If all you want is to eat buffet, not very exciting but plenty of food, be spoon fed not very interesting entertainment, be in the presence of very rude tourists from Europe expecting to be waited on by adoring locals, not engage in local culture or conversation, then go here. We did not find it friendly, helpful, interesting, or particularly comfortable. Most of the tourists staying never leave the hotel except to go on safari arranged by the hotel. But if you do go, you cannot in say you were in Kenya.......and for what you do get, it is hardly a great value.....

omg! the best ever!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/2/07
when i arrived at bamburi beach hotel, i was greeted with a warm welcoming smile aand a fruity cocktail. the hotel was basic but had everything needed, and was very clean.the service was great and the staff were sooo fab! we gave the staff some little prezzies as kenya isnt the millionaire playground, and we were treated like VIPs!we had sunbeds reserved fro us in the mornings and our fav table at dinner just for a pencil or pen! the food was amazing and had a wide choice and variety.i recomend the fish and meats, but there is plenty of other options. ignore those reports wich say the food is not fresh, its all simply fab. make sure u bring some pens pencils or socks n other small gifts for the beach boys and trust me, you will make some lovely friends! this has been the best holiday ever, and we are booking to go again nx year!

Definately going back!
By Sam, 2/19/07
I have just returned from a weeks stay at Bamburi Beach Hotel, and I can safely say it was the best holiday I have ever been on!!! The rooms, although basic, are clean and very comfortable. The food was absolutely stunning, and a wide choice to suite everyone's tastes. The service provdied by the waiters/waitresses was fantastic also - a big thanks to Mercy for all her help!!! The animation guys were amazing!!! A big hello to Jimmy, John, Saleem and Enoch, and a huge thanks for being so patient with my rubbish volley ball skills!!! Evening entertainment also very good, especially boogie boogie time!!!!!

A pleasure
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/11/06
I thought it would be just another holiday hotel but found it much more. The staff and i mean all of them where very, very friendly and would help you in any way they could. They always had a smile. The rooms where nothing out of the ordinary but for the rating they where more than acceptable. The food was great. lots of different fish and meats which was great for me . Some of the entertainment was a little cheap but it was on every night and some of the entertainment was really good and the crab racing was fun. Never had any problems outside the hotel. Just a little hassle on the 1st day or two on the beach but after that had nothing at all.
