OMG! DO NOT STAY HERE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/27/11
We booked a short getaway through Amtrak for a 3-night stay at this hotel, what a mistake. It was very disappointing. The hotel is not all it claims to be as stated on their website.. "you will find luxury here". There is no luxury and should be rated a half star. The hotel façade is very deceiving as it appear modern. Actually, this hotel is old and smelly with stained, torn and dirty carpet throughout, no safe deposit boxes and some rooms without door thresholds. Our room was on the second floor overlooking a parking lot (what happen to the "great view" of the Falls). It was small with an old TV -- limited cable, some channels not clear and/or working, no room in the bathroom for personal toiletries and poor quality towels and bedding. The room did not have a mini refrigerator and/or microwave and the mattress was as hard as a rock which caused my husband and I back aches. The pool is very small and the so-called exercise and fitness facility was a joke; which was located around the corner within 10 feet from the pool. There were about 4 or 5 treadmills located in this area and nothing else. The only good thing was the location and the front desk employee, Ashley as she was very friendly, courteous and helpful. Please take my advice and stay at the Comfort Inn Fallsview, Embassy Suites or Marriott Fallsview which provide an up-to-date facility, more amenities, comfort, and tours. Overall, this hotel is disgusting and we will never stay here again and/or recommend it Hopefully, we did not contract any diseases. We will report these findings to Amtrak.

nothing special about this hotel
By vassiliki, 7/26/11
I don't think the prices were substantially lower compared to other hotels which are also overlooking the falls and offer much more than this one. 1) We did not expect such a small (and overall unpleasant, except for the view) room (no refrigerator either). I could not stay in that room for a minute. 2) Not only breakfast was not included, but you do not even have the option of buying/having breakfast or any meal in this hotel. 3) You have to pay extra for internet connection.

Perfect location, great service & beautiful view!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/11/11
The location of this hotel is perfect with shuttles available to take you to area shows. The VIEWS of the falls are breathtaking - we saw them in bright sun and in foggy rain settings. Gorgeous.

Bike stolen from parking lot
By Converd, 8/13/10
After my Gary Fisher bike got stolen from their parking lot which was visible from the front desk, they charged $15.00 for parking. They were not willing to do anything for me. The room was old, still has tube t.v. The staff was curt and not willing to do anything.

Very Disappointing
By Carol, 8/9/10
We booked a "skysuite" at $450/night and were extremely disappointed. There was limited parking for guests (and we were charged $20/night), the hallways were not air conditioned and the "suite" was small with stains in the carpet, poor air conditioning, no refrigerator, and the sofa was a 1-person loveseat. The "living room" area barely fit the loveseat and a lamp. The tvs were old with limited cable access. The staff (expcept for the bellboy) were rude. We did not receive the complimentary passes for our free breakfasts at Applebees and dinner for two at Remingtons. I called right away and was accused by the receptionist of already using them (we just checked in!!). 6 people were in our suite (it supposedly accomodated 9 but no way!!) and we were left 4 skimpy towels and 1 measly bar of soap. The maids were sweet but told us they dont change the sheets until we check out (we were there for a three day stay) and do not vacuum daily. They basically made out bed and cleaned the bathroom. The only good was the location and the view, but only if you are on the upper floors. Take my advice and stay at the Embassy!!

Great deal for your money
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/25/10
My husband and i went to Niagara Falls for our 1 yr anniversery. we stayed here because it said it had a nice view of the falls and we got a big room with a jacuzzi tub. I loved our room we were on one of the top floors and had an amazing view. the room was big and the bathroom was huge too. Big walk in shower, huge vanity, and huge jacuzzi tube. Looked like it had been remodeled in the last few years. but when we did go to the hotel initially i thought it looked a little old, but the location was great. We were close to alot of resturarants and the casino. Over all if you can spend a little extra i would recemend that room. it really wasnt that much more.

Good Hotel, Great View
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/22/10
The best part of this hotel is the view of the Horseshoe Falls. Make sure you request a view of the falls from your hotel and you will not be disappointed. The location is very good as there are plenty of places to eat around the hotel, but it is not in the "touristy" area of town. The reason for a trip to Niagara Falls is to see the falls and this is an ideal location to stay. Be prepared to spend money in and around the hotel. I stayed here on my first visit to the area and was surprised at how expensive everything was not only in the hotel, but in everything around it such as the bars and restaurants. The actual falls are beautiful, by I felt the area around them was sort of a tourist trap. I do recommend The Oakes Hotel though because of the view of the falls from the rooms. That itself is worth the price, which will probably cost you about $200.00 per night. Overall, we had a good experience.

Maybe go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/10/09
The view is the best no question about, location very good central close to all, but this is it. 15 dollars parking for guests(daily no good), we stay on 20 floor premier falls view suite, never see the roubes or any one to clean the room. Sauna room very small and durty, pool very small. No coffe maker on the rooms. Needs improvment.
