We went home...

Room was dirty and very outdated. The counter top was broken and the smoke detector was dangling by wires out of the ceiling. We were told it was a no smoking room but inside the musky smell was worse than any smoke could cause. Can't tell you when the last time this room was renovated but I'm guessing not since the early 90's. Luckily we live in Calgary so going home was an option

very ill-mannered

we don't mind the room is aged and facility is crappy, but the person at check-in showed ill-mannered face; one time maybe she was not in good mood at the moment, but repeatedly demonstrated it for two days is a problem.what the heck about this person! i used to spend 100 nights in one year at hotel on travel, such individule is the first and worse one i saw. bad luck to me.

Location, location, location!!!

This hotel is a fantastic place to stay to just relax from the everyday hustle & bustle. Great staff, right downtown Canmore providing an onsite restaurant with entertainment if you desire to get out and have a little fun. The rooms are very clean and have had some updating since the last time I was here. Can't wait to come back in a few months.

Great rooms with private deck on the creek

The creekside room was bigger than most with a private deck looking over the creek and incredible views. This is not a new property with all the bells and whistles, but friendly staff and a clean room made it great. The pub which is conected offered good food, great staff and a fun band. Surprisingly, we had breakfast in the pub the morning after and there was no signs of late night festivities to be seen. Great breakfast

On par with a Super 8 or Motel 6. i.e., The place kinda makes you feel like you're on the run from the law. Don't let the web site pics fool you. It is seriously run down and there is noise all night from drunken pub clients (it finally got quiet at 5 AM). If you are a rocker, this may be what you are looking for. If you have kids (or just prefer to stay at places that are at least as nice as a Best Western), I advise ponying up the $$ to stay at a nicer place.

An easy going and fun atmosphere, where you can relax. The pub is cool and has great food. The best thing about the Drake is the Wil shows. We stay there every time he does a show. Also pefect for skiing - getting out there early and ending the day in the hot tub is awesome.

me and a buddy rented a single room for a week. Amazing views, the staff where cool as anything, i asked for a early check in, and they opend 30min early for me, so thats all good im my books.

I also stayed in the suit, with my wife and sister and had a smashing time! Front desk staff where very welcoming had the continental brecky and had a chat with a few other guests, all having a great time. i have bookings for next month!
