Hacienda Beach Club Residences, El Pedregal

This place is amazing. I know a lot of people are upset about the old Haciedna being torn down, but I have stayed at the new place many times. It is well worth the old Hacienda being torn down and building a new one to satisfy customers. An old worn down hotel will not do much good in todays society. Since John Wayne died Haciedna Hotel has gone downhill. Much needed rennovation/ new hotel.

I was watching The Travel Channel tonight and it focused on the Top 10 Mexican Hotels / Resorts. I haven't been to Cabo since 2003 and was raving to my boyfriend about the Hacienda Hotel in Cabo, where I ALWAYS stayed x 10 - 15 years. When I logged onto the site tonight...and found out it had been sold / torn down for condos...I cried like a baby!!! HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN??? I will NEVER go back to Cabo. The damned developers are RUINING the raw, delicate beauty and innocence of 'what was' in Baja. SO, SOOOO, sad. If only I had known, I would have gone back for one very long stay....Carolyn, San Leandro, CA.

My cousins lived in Mexico and we use to meet at the Hotel Hacienda. I was thinking of returning and found out it was replaced by Condo's! That is really sad! because this Hotel really captured the atomsphere of old Cabo! Now! I would never go back! It sounds like one big "zoo" now! May as well go to Las Vegas! That is really sad to hear!

I dont believe they are closing this hotel and replacing it with condo-hotels which you can find any place and dont have to go to Cabo....very sad

My husband and I got married at the Hacienda in April of 1999, we loved everything about the hotel and when I found out they closed it and will be replacing it I was truely depressed!

please dont take this wonderful landmark away from us! my favorite spot ever! been all over the world ,,the charm alone of this hotel makes it worth returning again and again,the staff couldnt do more for you, and the location fenominal! please dont tear it down and ruin the best spot in cabo,,if it goes i'll never return! mary

i loved the entire vibe of the hacienda starting with a welcome with margaritas on the old school open lobby. it offered alot of privacy and mellow feel to it

Our family has spent 15 years at this hotel with for our traditional Thanksgiving vacation and now it is gone...as of Sept. 15, 2005. No more Cabo for us...

It's a sad state of affairs when one of the last remaining landmarks in Cabo San Lucas is being torn down, but such is the case with the Hacienda Beach Resort. Unfortunately, developers have gotten hold of this wonderful hotel and it appears as though the location will turn into...yep...you guessed it: condos. So if you want to see "Old Cabo" for the last time, make sure you get there by the first of September.

i LOVE this hotel, it has a very homey feel to it and the rooms were very clean and in the garden room we stayed in had a backyard with a hammock. and the rooms with the ocean view were beautiful. the welcome margarita's were free and very yummy. the hacienda, in my opinion has the best location. it's right on the marina and it's a short walk to the strip where all the shops and clubs are located. no taxi needed. the beach was not at all crowded and you can get all of your water activities through the hotel.
