Thunderbird Lodge, Norman

The room was clean and comfortable, staff helpful and friendly. Continental breakfast was limited to pastry and coffee. Fairly priced for average quality.

We were decieved by their website. The T-Bird lodge is run down and in disrepair. Antiquated check-in process. Still use old keys. Junked vehicles in the parking lot. Walls were yellow with grime and tar from smokers. Beds were sinking in. Room smelled like a dumpster - not kidding. Furniture and appliances are 1970's early 80's at best. Questionable safety and sanitation. There are better accomodations in Norman for the same or better price.

We looked this up on line and it sounded good. I only lasted five minutes before I got my money back and never looked back. This hotel was gross and scary. The rooms were dirty and the pool was green. I was scared to stay with my kids and No way would I put my head on those pillows.

My husband looked on the internet at this place. He obviously did not notice that the reviews were over a year ago or longer. It was very smelly, and shabby. I have never stayed at a place that did not even have complementary shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom. The fire alarm was disabled and hanging down from the ceiling. I would not recommend it to anyone. The pictures on the net were not truthful.

Great price some have kitchen area with fridge. Had small continental breakfast. Friendly staff located close to Highway 35. In Norman Oklahoma. Near mall and all other locations.

The place needs a can of Lysol, the non smoking rooms where smelly. The price tells you what you get. The breakfast was not bad, and it is close to Lindsey street that takes you to OU, and one exit from the casino. So the location is great. Not a bad pool area.

We stayed here for six weeks. The rooms were clean, the area is clean, Staff is friendly. Very Affordable. The room has everything you need and is spacious, the pool is clean, the guests laundry room was excellent washers and dryers all WORKED! Located near the interstate, easy access to anywhere you need to go. Will stay here again, and WILL definitely recommend to fellow postal workers.

The rooms are clean the grounds are clean. The mgr Susan is excellant, courteous,friendly, and proffessional, We have all of our out of town guests stay there. Beats all motels .I have stayed at the higher end ones are not even close. recommend you bet. everytime.

The Thunderbird Lodge is Norman's best kept secret. The rooms are clean, and the staff is nice. The free continental breakfast is a great place to meet fellow travelers. It can be tough to get a reservation, as the lady that takes them is only there on certain days.

Very friendly. Excellent budget minded motel, not 5 star, don't expect room service. BUT We have stayed here a few times since 2001 with kids-5 of us in total. Last time drove the motorhome down and parked in their lot with no problems. Comfy beds, clean. Pool small but works fine. Breakfast is very good, better than most chains. Kitchens in room are great. Price about 50% less than area hotels/motels with kitchens. Super weekly rates.
