Amazing
By ,
There were many things to love about this hotel. The rooms were small but very comfortable. The washroom attached to the room was very clean and convenient. The best part for me - besides the charm (it's an old convent) is the location. There are several amazing bakeries just a few doors down and I could see the Eiffel Tower from my room. The whole experience was very amazing. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and I felt very safe at night. Hotel St. Dominique helped to make my first Paris experience an amazing one. I plan to return for my honeymoon.

Location is key...
By ,
My husband and I stayed here just recently for our wedding anniversary ..besides the location, we were not very impressed. The bed was extremely uncomfortable (we could feel the springs) and the shower curtain was old & moldy..the decor was also very worn. What we did like was the location, hence this place banks on its location and the staff, for the most part, was very helpful (they did replace the shower curtain). When we return to Paris, we plan to book our hotel far enough in advance so we don't have to settle.

Great location, too costly
By ,
We stayed there on April 2004. The staff was very helpuf, not once did we feel they were trying to get us to spend money. Thet were very kind, let us leave our luggage and watch it since we arrived very early. Patiently explainig how to get to where we wanted. The location is THE Forte of this hotel, very close to the metro, very close to the Eifel tower, we had a nice walk on the first day, trying to get to know the place. Very close to a supermarket (we had a fridge in ower suite), Cafes, Brasery, bakery. Getting there from the airport is sooo easy - AirFrance have a bus every 1/2 an hour not too far away (about 7 mins of walking, with luggage). We also used it to get to the airport - only 7.5E. Bathroom was clean enough - very important! Room was just OK, the hotel itself is fine...but we paid approx 120E per night. Which I think was too expensive...but we did order the suite. Also make sure you check what floor your room is, I don't remember an elevator and the steps are quite steep and narrow. I'd recommend it!

Belle Paree
By ,
I stayed at this hotel during the summer of 2004 - sight unseen. Was I ever surprised. Quaint little hotel with a view from the street of the Eiffel Tower. Little shops lined the narrow roads. The room I stayed in was at the far back end of the hotel off from the courtyard. Felt like I was in a little French room in the countryside. Very quiet and the room was very clean. Staff was friendly and eager to help. Overall I rather enjoyed staying at this hotel. Travelling alone I felt safe and walking back from the Eiffel Tower in the late evening was not at all scary. It also didn't hurt to have a good old fashioned Irish Pub across the street from the hotel!!!!

hotel saint dominique
By ,
the area is very quiet and close by in Rue La Tour Mauburg there is this small restaurant called bistrot of the 7me (I think) that is really great. better to book. the hotel is small, our room was very small,I admit and sometime it needed to be cleaner but I cannot complain because the building was tiny and nice. breakfast was ok and served in a nice room.

Never coming back!
By ,
I made the reservation 2 months before my trip, and the room that they gave me (and the only one available when I was there, I asked for a change) was a 1st floor, facing street, room (!!!). The room was

I loved it!
By ,
I absolutely loved this hotel. I was not very impressed with Paris over all at the lack of a friendly attitude. But our hotel manager was delightful in helping us out. The hotel was very nice and clean and so close to everything. I intend to come back with my girlfriend (hopefully fiance) and use the same hotel. I loved it and would recommend it to everyone.

Very charming and cute
By ,
I stayed at the Hotel St. Dominique this summer, which was my first time in Paris! I found it to be very charming, and quaint. It is definately not a "luxury" hotel, but it serves the main purpose which is a room to stay in, but on top of that it has a distincly French feel, which adds to the experience. The rooms are rather small and look like they haven't been redecorated for awhile, but they are very cute, and decorated "French", so for me it was just part of the experience. Although the size of the rooms are not the best, who cares? When you are in Paris you spend most of the time out and about, not in the hotel room. The location is great, a short (but beautiful) walk from the Eiffel tower, and a couple of blocks from a Metro station. There are several small bakeries nearby. The staff was great. The only thing I would complain about, or suggest avoiding, is the there is one room (which I got) that is on the ground level of the courtyard. It does not offer too much privacy, if you open the window people passing by can see into your room, but it also opens right onto the courtyard, so you do have easy access to the patio chairs, etc. So, if you want more privacy ask to not have room 34.

Small Rooms, but Decent Value
By ,
The rooms at the St Dominique were very small, but they were also reasonably priced. A big plus for the hotel is the active busy neighborhood --- lots of decent restaurants and Rue Cler --- but the noise didn't make it into our rooms which were very quiet.
