Wont be going back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/5/11
The check in was simple and this was about the only good experience we had. The pics of the hotel look nice on the webiste. They must have been taken the day that it was remodeled. The paint on the exterior was peeling, there were trim boards loose and the inside was so much worse. The room smelled of mold as soon as you walked through the door. The carpets were nasty, I wasn't about to take my shoes off. The bedspread had burn holes in it and didn't look like they had been washed in a while. Thank goodness my husband and I cant agree on a tempature in the car, I had two blankets in the car that we threw on the bed to sleep on. If everything within a few miles hadnt have been booked we would have left the same night we checked in, refund or not!

Good for the price
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/16/11
Basic room, toilet lid was broken, holes burnt in the bedspread, beds a bit uncomfortable, but basicly a good room for the price. Check in was simply didn't see or need any staff.

"Nice" enough
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/12/08
I wouldn't say this is exactly the cleanest and most updated place (80 ish)I've ever stayed in but the staff was exceptional. The maintenance, front office and housekeeping made sure we were well taken care of. I had trouble with my laptop getting online and the maintenace guy stayed after 5 to help me fix it (@20 min) I also had a few miscellaneous requests and they were quick to answer. High speed internet, refridgerator and microwave were nice to have as well.

Don't believe everything you read!
By Sis, 8/6/07
My family and I wanted an overnight room for a weekend getaway in Ashland, KY so I checked out the web for the hotels in the area and thought Knights Inn sounded nice, clean, private, and provided the extra's I would not have to worry about packing so I booked a room. Needless to say things were not as they had read. The room we stayed in provided only 2 bathtowels and when I asked for extra I was handed a bath mat and a hand towel. There was no blow dryer in the room, no safe, no iron, and no ironing board as stated on their web page. The room rate was not what was guaranteed on the web but twelve dollars more. The room smelled nice and the housekeeping services was good with basic cleaning however the carpet was so dirty and sticky that we had to wear our shoes. The room did have good air conditioning but needed many constructional repairs. The pool was small but seemed to be well maintained. When I went to get ice for the room my eyes where opened that this was not the best place to bring a family considering an apparently local young man came with friends and was commenting he should receive a discount because he had been there 8 times in the past two weeks renting a basic room. Knights Inn needs to update their web page or provide what they say they do. If I had it to do over I would have cancelled the reservation and found another room somewhere else.

You get what you pay for
By browneyedgirl2277, 7/18/07
The Knights Inn in Ashland is a very inexpensive hotel. The beds are ok a little hard but overall the staff is friendly and with gas prices it makes it worth it. I stay there once a week visiting my husband at FCI and since I have to drive for 4.5 hours and gas being as expensive as it is, it's nice to have a place to sleep and shower. Ifyour planning a weeks vacation I would recomend a nicer hotel, however if your just staying the night the price is right.

Dont do it!
By cindy, 7/13/07
I stayed for 2 nights at this hotel a week ago. The shower curtain was filled with black mildew, the shower only ran cold water, no towels in the rooms, must I go on. I swear that something was in one of the beds. I itched all night and wonder if someone didnt let their dog sleep in it and the fleas were remaining. I was so disgusted. Couldnt shower to feel better because when you got in the shower and saw the mildew all over you felt even dirtier. You may save a few dollars but you get what you pay for. DONT DO IT!

What do you expect
By On the GO, 6/27/06
Well what to say it supplies the necessary for a hotel. A bed, shower and toliet that is about it. If your are looking for fluffy you are in the wrong place. It is the bare basics. Close to wal-mart though.
