Great location, Great service, clean
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/20/11
This hotel is in a great location (maybe 10 minutes from downtown), we were there on a sold out weekend and the staff was still helpful & smiling. Good value

Do not book this hotel
By Jess, 6/9/10
When we went to check in our room was not even ready. They said sorry they were busy the night before and havednt been able to get the rooms cleaned yet. After two hours of check in time they give us a room and when we went to it, it was already occupied by someone else. Then after that we had to wait even longer for another room and it wasnt even what we had previous booked. They suck. No microwave or refrigerator. when room service went to clean our room they left are door open after cleaning it. Dont trust this place. not worth the price.

Hopefully will be back.
By Deborah, 7/25/09
Even though we didn't specify a view, the desk clerk kindly changed our room to one overlooking the marina. The staff was very helpful without being invasive. The room was clean and current. Couldn't ask for more for the price. Shuttle access to town daily a big plus!

Half and Half
By hckyfan, 7/12/09
Well, it wasnt what we were expecting but it wasnt the worst. No microwaves or refrigerators in the room we were in. Beds were a bit smaller than expected... so a rollaway was requested. Prompt service, but no room in the room for the bed. Had to rearrange furniture completely to adjust. Breakfast was quite exceptional, though. And the beds were heavenly. The dock in front of the hotel was definitely the best part of the hotel.

Not Worth Staying At
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/9/08
Obviously not much has changed, theres still roaches everywhere. They were crawling across the breakfast food counter, and in our rooms. It's not renovated as described. The stucco walls and ceilings with outdated paint colors look bad. Rooms and halls smell from bug control. Our shower curtain was moldy, and we had no choice but to step on it in the shower due to the shower curtain being too long, causing it to lay on the bottom of the bath tub. The wash clothes were dirty and looked like they weren't even cleaned. There were barking dogs at 6 a.m. in the hallways while we were sleeping, and when they said they had a hot complementary breakfast, it was nothing great, that's why we chose to eat the second two mornings, after we saw the roach

the room was clean, bed was beyond HARD.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/6/08
everything went good with our visit. clerk allowed us to view the room before paying, that was a plus!! alot of hotels won't allow that since some don't want you to see the nastyness until after you pay then they won't refund you. after seeing the room, we checked in. the room was clean, no bugs. you can play games on their tv, but watch for the small details, you will be charge 6.95 for playing for 1 hour, that's crazy. you should really watch that exspecially if you have kids... the pool needs to be in a different location as some rooms are back behind the pool and it's hard dragging all your items so far. the biggest down side to this hotel is the HARD HARD beds. believe me, if you don't have back pain when going to sleep, look for it upon waking up!!! it was clean and looked to have been recently upgrade. however, they should have upgraded a little more with some nicer beds rather than the hard cheap feeling beds. if you have a coupon from the coupon book, don't look too foward to them accepting it... overall, the only real complaint i have would be the bed. the most important thing was it was clean...

Great value for the money
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/25/08
It is in a great location on the river. The rooms, pool, breakfeast area were very clean. The front desk worked with us upon arrival for me and my relatives to have rooms side by side. We will certainly stay here again.

ROACH MOTEL
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/2/07
We walked into our room at 13:30 PM last night. When we flipped on the lights it looked like the walls were moving. IT WAS ROACH INFESTED! When we called the front desk we were hung up on!!! Lionel, the hotel manager has not returned a single phone call. We drove home 3+ hours. TRIP RUINED! I WANTED TO BURN MY LUGGAGE! BEWARE!

Won't stay at this hotel never again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/24/07
We had the most horrible experience. We got there before the check in time expecting to check in , go out , and then return directly to our room. they didn't let us do that, and what it was worst, the guy at the front desk (named TIGHE) told me : " reservation is a requirement but not a guarantee to give you a room".... When I said "excuse me?" he responded: " I said What you heard".... Horrible experience, room smelled, and we requested a non-smoking room. The carpet was disgusting. Won't stay and won't recommend at all this hotel.

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/23/06
There was not one thing I could complain about related to this lovely place! What a location, right on the water! Extremely convenient to MUSC, which was important this trip. Delicious breakfast, very comfortable room, excellent, helpful service!
