Such a sad thing for such an historical house
Pros :-)
A short walk from the wharves;
Parking on site;
Warm and extensive breakfast items (pancakes, eggs, bagels, different breads, cereals, ...)
Staff manager is well informed, but resides in another building.
Cons :-(
Tight parking spots;
Cream cheese or jams are from shared containers, which brings us to... ants in the cheese in the morning - sounds good?
The inn keeper does not exist. It's merely a manager, and you do not have any other contact with the staff until breakfast;
It is not because a house is historical it should feel old, stuffy and overpainted;
Quite expensive for what you get.
Overview:
Rochambeau slept in this particular house, as he lead the French troops in support to Washington, which makes its historical value.
The Admiral Farragut is part of 3 houses belonging to the Inns Of Newport.
Don't be surprised if you are requested to gather to another building for breakfast, for sake of business efficiency (regardless of your own, obviously). We will definitely avoid the Inns of Newport, should we return in the vicinity.
