University Inn, Fort Lauderdale

I have read other reviews of this hotel. They are remodeling from the top floor down. Stay on the fifth or fourth floor and you have a newly remodled, large and very clean room. I enjoyed my stay here. While they do provide free continental breakfast they need a larger breakfast eating area.

THE LOBBY IS THE ONLY DECENT THING ABOUT THIS HOTEL. THE ROOM WAS HORRIBLE. THE CARPET WAS DAMP, THE ROOM WAS NOT CLEAN AND ASHES WAS LEFT IN THE ASHTRAY. SPOKE TO GENERAL MGR. WHO WAS VERY RUDE AND DIDN'T TAKE CARE OF AN UNSATISFIED CUSTOMER. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL IF IT WAS GIVEN TO ME FREE OF CHARGE.

I liked every thing about it,the front desk staff was nice,exspecially Andre,I like the breakfast that is go on in the morning and the parking is safe.there was nothing i dislike.

Although we found this hotel to provide a quiet night's sleep, which is rare in a hotel, it is out of the way and required a long taxi ride from the International Airport. The write up on Internet did not adequately show its distance from the International Airport and it makes you believe you are close by. The desk clerks provided good service when we needed a taxi and there was an adequate continental breakfast. Location leaves a lot to be desired and cost is way too much for out of way location.
