Would stay at Blue Bell again, and again!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/15/09
The cabin we stayed in was small, cute, and comfy. I counted no less than 8 windows on the log cabin. We stayed here from July 10 to July 13, 2009. If you like nature at your door (we had deer galore around our cabins each morning and night) you will love it here. The food at the lodge was very good, a little spendy but good. We also ate at Legion lodge on the patio with a wacky chef who made excellent food for the money. Blue Bell lodge is the perfect retreat and home base when touring the black hill attractions. I would definitely stay here again and again.

Great place to stay
By calley, 7/4/09
My family stayed at this cabin for 1 night, wish it could have been more. The cabin was a little small but nice and clean. Custer State Park is very beautiful. The food at Blue Bell was good but a little pricey (but isn't everything when you go on vacation). We had dinner at Legion Lake. It was more expensive and the service was not as good, but the atmosphere outside on the deck was wonderful. We also walked around Sylvan Lake (extremely beautiful)!!!!

Wow!
By Linda, 3/29/07
We were there late in the season. Cabins were very clean and "comfy", Food was excellent and even got the privilege of having a cowboy sing to us at dinner, and the area was very scenic, wonderful place to take a long walk.

GREAT PLACE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/5/06
My wife, three boys, 7,4,2 stayed here over labor day weekend 2006. Excellant place to stay right in the heart of Custer State Park. Cabin was excellant, food at the blue bell lodge was excellant. We also attended the chuck wagon cookout. Wife and Kids loved it, I thought it was a little to expensive. Great vacation if you have smaller children that like to view wild life. The amount of deer and turkey is amazing. By the second day we had a new rule: DON'T BRAKE FOR DEERS OR TURKEY!!!! they are every where. Buffalo were a favorite of all of us and very easy to find. Overall a great place for a family vacation.

Excellent Mel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/31/05
We both had simple sandwiches for lunch. The service was excellent, and the scenery outside the window was great.
