We LOVE this INN!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/20/09
My fiance and I stayed for Valentine's Day and were treated like a King and Queen. Diane was the most charming hostess, she really treated us like family! The Inn was cozy, warm and inviting. It was such a treat to feel like you were at home, but could actually relax and not worry about a thing. Diane took such good care of us. We will definitely be back in the future whenever we need a quiet, romantic get-away! Holly and Eric

Great experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/18/08
Diane is absolutely a gem. She gave us great suggestions, provided wonderful atmosphere and delicious food! She feels like family! The Boothbay area is charming and September is the time to go! The Inn was lovely, the bed comfortable, clean rooms and a friendly atmosphere.

New owner, warm and inviting.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/24/07
I found that having stayed in this inn before on several occasions that this new owner is a great fit as new innkeeper of Kenniston Hill and carries the warmth and personality of what a true innkeeper should. Her breakfasts were great and bountiful. The rooms were clean, warm, and becoming historically decorated. The amenities were generous and the price was very affordable for an Inn on the Coast of Maine. We will continue to return and by reading other guests comments in the guest books-we are not alone! The Kosmirs, Dayton, Ohio July 2007

overpriced; rude owner
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/18/07
I stayed at Kenniston Hill Inn in July 2007. At this time, it had been under new ownership for a couple of months. I would seriously recommend staying somewhere else in Boothbay. The room and breakfast were adequate, but not worth anywhere near the mid-summer rates ($160 for a room with no view, a queen bed, stall shower, and fireplace that didn't work). My biggest problem is that the owner, for the service of mailing an item I left behind, charged an exorbitant fee to my credit card, without my authorization, and without notifying me that such a fee even existed. When I contested that the charge was unauthorized, she became hostile and accusatory. Stay elsewhere, or risk being bullied and taken advantage of.

Boothbay's best
By mannyhater, 03/22/06
Jim and Gerry are very accommodating hosts. We enjoyed our stay in a large second-floor bedroom with its own entrance and private bath. The breakfasts were scrumptous as were the afternoon snacks. We couldn't believe how beautiful the inn and area are. It was the best vacation we've ever taken.
