Motel 6, Morro Bay

I loved the location and the fact my family would get an affordable room at the coast during the Labor Day weekend. We had a double/double room, there was only one towel and the toilet needed to be flushed 2-3 times to do it's job, but we did not have high expectations for the room, we were there for the location. We then had a terrible experience with the management. The managment allowed a group of 15 to 20 young adults to set up a table in the parking lot outside of the rooms and play beer pong (captured on video tape) . The group was loud, drunk and vulger. Beer cans littered the parking lot. The staff would not tell the group to stop the activity, and then told us the noise was not coming from the group and instead blamed it on a nearby campsite (NOT) They refused to give a refund even though we had only been there 5 hours (three hours of which we were out of the room at dinner) stating we had been there all day. (even though we checked in at 6pm, left at 11:15). At one point the manager did ask the group to "keep it down" and then proceeded to come to our door and tell us she took some action. When she left she waved to the partiers smiling and laughing with them. Now the group knew who had complained a few of them proceeded to stand outside our door and yell to their friends assorted vulgarities. The police were called (not by us), but since the party was on private property they told the group they would not do anything until after 11pm. We were not willing to have our child listen to the swearing and sexual vulgarities that were being yelled. 11pm came and went and the party just got louder. Apparently it was easier for the Motel 6 management to expect us to tolerate it, and even deny it was a problem rather than deal with the actual situation. We will never stay at another Motel 6.

It has a great location, the only good thing. Staff was not friendly, in fact the housekeeping staff looked like a bunch meth freaks. Accidentally left a ring in the bathroom. Within 30 minutes the employees took it and claimed to not had seen it. Beds were rock hard, and towels stained.

I’ve been to Morro Bay before in previous years and the customer service there was out- standing. I’ve been there with out reservations and I have had to wait for a room to come up and the front desk person has been very helpful. In trying to get me a room there. BUT this month my husband and I decided to go to Morro Bay for the week end and we went to Motel 6 with out reservations hoping that we could get a room there. Well the front desk person was very nice gentleman, and he told me it was on first come first services basis. But the manager there was not helpful at all, (manager) made me wait, and gave preference to a name on a piece of paper she stated that, they (the person name on paper) called and where going to come. Which they never did show. So you can see my point about first come first service. 4 hours later I got a room the bed was broken, and there where no bath towels in the room. I went and asked for towels the manager told me they had none. In the morning I went again to ask for towels and again I was told by the manager there was no bath towel. WHAT happened Motel ???
