SURESH PATEL!!!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!!!DONT EVER STAY THERE!!!
I believe this is a franchise of some kind which has completely different policies and beliefs in customer service treatment than all the other Howard Johnson hotels that I have experienced.I made reservations via phone and was told that I had a 24hour cancellation policy to abide by.(like all the others), Calling to cancel my reservation more than 24hrs ahead of schedule, I encountered Suresh Patel, an apparent customer service rep. who I have never experienced a more rude and terribly untruthful individual. As easy as a cancellation should be with any hotel, he sarcastically announces to me that "THEIR" policy is a 48hr turnaround for cancellation and he is going to charge me FULL RATE for 1 night without any acceptions. He then tells me that he can see that I scheduled this ONLINE and this is why he cannot do anything about this. I made this reservation by phone.
He directs me to Howard Johnson Customer Care and tells me he cannot do anything about this. Speaking to other customer care associates from Howard johnson, it was confirmed that he himself would have to reverse as a courtesy which HE CAN. Customer care called him directly to help me and he REFUSED. I called him again and asked to speak to management. He told me HE WAS which I confirmed with customer care after that that and individual by the name of BART was the manager. He lied. When I called back, he hung up on me. After the 2nd time, he stated that BART was now on vacation and could not be reached. He said he is NOT going to loose out on 167.00 and does NOT CARE what i think. He refused to pass me over to someone else to get this resolved but I simply gave up and decided that I have an option to post this horrible experience instead. Just to know this, I WOULD NEVER ADVISE ANYONE TO GIVE THEIR MONEY UP TO SUCH A HORRIBLE DEMEANOR OF A FRANCHISE, THEY ARE LITERALLY GIVING HOWARD JOHNSON A "BAD NAME". I will post everywhere and fight this error.
