Horrible Hotel Experience!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/31/08
We stayed at this horrible hotel for about 1 1/2 weeks because we were in the process of adopting a baby, and at the end of the stay I felt compelled to yell at the manager and call Best Western Corporate to complain about this hotel. I NEVER complained about any hotel before, I am pretty easy-going, and I stayed at many, many hotels in my life. Often for extended periods of time.
What I hated:
- The mircowave turning table was not working
- We had ants in the bathroom
- They renovated at that time, the elevator was not working and we had a newborn baby with us. Still, they thought it was a great idea to put us on the third floor.
- We asked if it was possible to get an extra table, because we needed more space for the baby. Although at least 20 rooms were unoccupied due to the renovating, we were denied our request. The woman at the front desk told my husband "Don't get paranoid, you can always change your baby on the bed."
- One day we came home and found out that the water had been shut off in the meantime. We couldn't wash our hands, our baby was crying and we couldn't flush the toilet. Nobody at the hotel had bothered to tell us of the water shut down ahead of time. When I complained at the front desk, saying I had no water to clean a baby bottle, this horrible woman said to me "Well, we don't have water here either."
- The front desk staff was terrible - people had a sullen look on their faces, lied to you straight in the face and couldn't care less about you.
- Only positive experience: it was very clean and the cleaning staff was very nice.
