Dow Villa Motel, Lone Pine

Service was nonexistant, after driving all day through Death Valley we arrived to be told the rooms weren't ready and to come back in an hour. We poked around town and grabbed a bite and came back in two hours. Manager told us the rooms weren't ready (after 5:00pm by now) and she didn't know when they would be as the housekeeping staff had had a rough day. (This at a very loud volume...notice I didn't say she was shouting...but I could have!) To say the place was dated is overly kind. Dump came to mind...The only handicapped accessible door was locked both time I tried to enter, and I was informed that they kept it that way "because we don't have too many people that need it." If your choice is stay here or drive 500 miles, I'd suggest the 500 miles!
