Pinch me!

The Adobe Inn was the base of operations for the wedding of a family member. I had no preconceived notions about my room, except for the fact that it was somewhere in Carmel. Have mercy! I walked into a huge, wonderful room, all peaches and cream with a lovely embroidered satin bedspread on my king sized bed. The fireplace logs burst into flaming glory with the touch of a button. A TV was hidden away in a stylish armoire, which was flanked by two handsome French provincial chairs and large round table.
This was just the first impression! The service was outstanding, with nothing left undone. Doris, the indispensable manager extraordinaire, smoothed over all the little bumps that precede any wedding, included a last-minute rush to her "jewelry connection" to repair a broken bracelet...the bride's "something blue." Breakfast was delivered on time, served with a flourish, and most generous in its proportions.
The location was perfect. Two quiet blocks from Ocean Avenue, two blocks from the church, and within walking distance of all the dining and shopping adventure that is Carmel. I enthusiastically recommend the Adobe Inn, but mind, only if you don’t want my room when I do.
