wonderful vacation
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/27/09
Our group(30 people) Hi-Camp from N.Y. visited Yellowstone Nat'l Park last year,we all love the motel and the owner, the location is terrific, only miniutes from the west entrance, the supermarket is nearby, we made sandwiches for lunch everyday and went to different restaurant each night, but the 7 night stay really made the vacation memorable. We all recommended to our friends about this motel.

The best place about the Alpine are the owners. They are so helpful in every way.We could not have asked for nicer people to deal with and the accomodations are so clean and comfortable.I would go back in a heartbeat!

Made our stay!!
By SocialKim, 06/13/08
I was looking for a reasonable place to stay for one night of a three day, two night Yellowstone Natl Park trip and decided to try the Alpine Motel. Talked to Patty, who owns the motel along with her husband Brian, and made our reservations. The very reasonable nightly rate was appealing after checking rates at most of the other local chains. We arrived in West Yellowstone after a very snowy day in the park, tired and ready to be out of the car. What a pleasant surprise to reach the motel! The motel is easy to find just off the main drag and looks like it should be tucked away by a mountain lake. Patty was at the desk and greeted us like old friends. There is hot chocolate, tea, hot cider and coffee available in the office until 10 PM. Our room was comfortable with a queen bed, small table with two chairs, dresser, bedside table, cable tv and a mini fridge. The bathroom is small, shower only, no tub, but neat as a pin. There were plenty of towels and pillows, little extras like liquid soap at the sink and the usual small courtesy bottles of shampoo, conditioner and lotion. Patty also gave us treat bags that had a disposable razor, more shampoo and conditioner, toothpaste and granola bars in them. The most outstanding part of the rooms, besides the new carpet and new furnishings, was the cleanliness! The room and the bathroom absolutely sparkled and it was the best smelling motel room I've ever stayed in. The rooms don't have phones but do have alarm clocks and wifi. Ours was decorated with what looked like recovered barn wood on the walls and bathroom door and was beautiful. While it's a rustic motel, Patty and Brian have definitely spent time and money updating this gem to today's standards. Patty offered us ice for personal use and to fill up the cooler in the morning. Brian recommended Pete's Rocky Mountain Pizza Company, just around the corner, for dinner. The pizza and the hospitality were a hit!(To date, the best pizza I've ever eaten, and the rest of my group of 4 agreed.) We are already talking about planning another trip just so we can stay with Patty and Brian again. Definitely don't miss this little motel if you have the opportunity to stay in West Yellowstone. It's a bargain and much, much more colorful than the cookie cutter chains you'll find scattered around this quaint mountain town.

can't wait to come back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/26/07
Clean---reasonable--centrally located-very helpful owners that run the motel. Enjoyed very much. Thank you!!!!! Easy to see the town and walk around and enjoy. Easy to find a place to eat also---in fact a very good one right next door to the motel.

We loved it!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/07/07
Alpine is small, very clean, friendly and the owners are there to help you in any way they can. Staying there added to our trip to Montana and Yellowstone. We definitely will stay there again and just recommended it to friends that will be traveling to W. Yellowstone this summer.

Fantastic New Owners
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/03/07
Great place to stay!! Made reservations and confirmed with previous owners then stayed in motel with new owners. Very helpful people, and personable. We stayed in the apartment and couldn't have asked for a better economical place. Spacious rooms, huge kitchen area, nice view and quiet, central location. Will definitely stay there again!

We don't stay anywhere else
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/28/07
We have stayed at the Alpine five years in a row. Dan and Nancy could not be any nicer. Its like seeing old friends when we are there. The rooms are always spotless and everything is in working order. The rooms are simple but you will appreciate the no phone or internet so you can get away from it all. Dan and Nancy are always willing to share with you their recommendations for site seeing, restaurants, things to do, etc. Location could not be better, walk to everything in town and just a few blocks from the west gate.

highly recommended
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/07/06
During our trip to yellow stone park, we stayed in 3 hotels. Alpine is one of them, and we all think it's the best one. We lived in a unit which has a kitchen. The condition of the room is very good. Beddings are clean and new. Bath towels look very clean and white. We are very satified with it. Also it's quiet and good for sleep. We feel comfortable there. With the low price and nice condition(though not luxury), we highly recommended this place.
