Clean and reasonably priced
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/11/11
Stayed at this place as a mid-point stopover during the STP bike ride. It was clean and reasonably priced. Continental breakfast was basic, but better than the pre-packaged food found at the chain hotels. I would stay here again.

Stayed for 1 week and decided to stay for 1 more.
By Chris, 8/5/10
This place is a smaller hotel but the price for the location and service is excellent. My fiancee and I reserved about a month prior. My check-in was fast. We were in our room within minutes. The management is super friendly and treated us like family. The seemed really knowledgable about the attractions and best places to eat in the local area. They told me about the local farmer's market on Saturday near the fairgrounds. Great experience, great price, great service!

unauthorized charges on credit card
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/31/09
when my parents checked in the room was ice cold. It took a whole day to warm up the room. The room was dreary and dark. It smelled must when we checked in.The maid did not clean the room the whole time they were there. No clean sheets and no clean towels. The garbage was taken to my house to get rid of because there was no maid to dump the garbage.my parents were there for a whole week. when they left they had to ask twice for a receipt for the cash they paid and then they were charged an extra 150.00 on the card when they left. when mom called back they were real rude saying they do not have to let her know what the charge was for. they are accusing her of smoking in the room and that it could not be rented out for a whole week after she left, not true. This hotel was not customer friendly and for the price that they were charged the hotel management could have treated them better. when asked to speak to the owners and for the owners # they told my mom that it was not her business to know that info but that the owners live in seattle. The items listed on the web site were not offered to my parents they will not be back and they drove from spokane to stay in this hotel.

Poor management / Low budget
By cynthia, 10/7/06
As with others, we had a bad experience with poor customer service and unfriendly owners. We were charged additional fees after leaving the premises, without any notice, and were unable to have those fees removed from our credit card bill. Instead of dealing with the situation while we stayed there, and discussing it with us calmly, the owner chose to yell at us and then charge us fees later (for having two additional people in the room - our children). We were never told of their policy when making the reservation over the phone. In addition, the facilities are drab at best. We failed to see any sign of 'remodeling' - the rooms were dark, the sheets were thin, and the carpet threadbare. The motel is exactly what you would expect for a low-budget accomodation.

Flawed reservation process...Poor treatment
By stonesong, 8/6/06
We had reserved two adjacent double queen rooms so that each of 4 people had a private bed. Upon arrival at 10PM (pre-arranged) we were told that they had held us one double queen room and a single king room, not adjacent. When we responded with our disappointment they said well if we were not satisfied they could give these rooms to someone on their waiting list. The person at the desk, who I believe was one of the owners, treated me very rudely and made me wonder if anyone ever returns to their establishment. He seemed to think it was wrong of me to expect that we should be given the space we had reserved and would not stop yelling at me. Though, oddly enough, part of what he was yelling was "Hey we are good people here." Alas nothing happened to confirm their goodness in my mind. No mention was made of any compensation for their mishandling our reservations. Since it was already late we all doubled up in just one room (at least everyone had the same doubled up accommodations that way and we invested less in a business that seemed to be just a bit underhanded by this time.) This room we were given was OK. Maybe we'd have thought it a bit better than average except for two large sections (around 8 sq. ft. in all) of carpeting that were soggy for some reason. The "continental breakfast compared unfavorably with what one might expect at a less expensive place such as Day's Inn. It certainly did not add value to our visit. The location was pleasant and central to town. Under new management this might be a pleasant place but we cannot recommend it at this time

We won't go back!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/16/06
We made reservations for three nights and booked into the motel for that period. We completed our business in two days and requested a refund for the third night. We expected to pay a cancellation fee. However, we were told that a 48 hour cancellation notice was required. This policy was not shown to me, nor did I see the policy stated elsewhere in writing. On checking in my credit card was fully charged for the three nights, therefore, management of the motel refused to provide a refund. In travels world-wide and in the United States adjustments to the credit cards have always been made on checking out of the facility. On the plus side the facility is centrally located; with trees providing shade. The rooms are small but nicely maintained. Pets are allowed.
