Dutch Cup Motel, Sultan

I've been the owner manager since 1981 and consider the Dutch Cup Motel one of the best , cleanest and greenest motels in the Skykomish Valley. All hotels & motels have some problems but we try and focus our service towards family and workers while keeping problem customers to a minimum. With many returning and satisfied customers I can easily claim success and with a legitimate complaint, guarantee satisfaction or money back .

I've read else where of the smell in the rooms. It's basically an antiseptic use to cover up the reeking tobacco stench. Many nights these rooms are contracted out to railroad workers and the BNSF requests only none smoking. That means that the smokers are sitting out front of their door on benches. While the smoke may not go indoors their bodies and clothes are coated with the smell, hence the chemicals. That aside the first night we stayed the guys caused no loss of sleep and were well behaved. Friday the railroad guys rolled home, but worse on Friday, the pub across hwy way 2 rents out a room for the hired band. And you guessed it, at 2AM until 4:15AM they were outside our door in drunken excitably. Four wake up calls to the motel manager finally got the owner of the bar across the street to come over and with threats of no more gigs, shut their loud sluty mouths. I will say that the lovely manager was so sorry and gave us a refund for Friday night. We just can't take a chance on the place and at a discounted $86 a night it's hardly worth the price and pain.

I LIKE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS MOTEL. I LIKE THE LOC. AND THE PEOPLE AND THE CLEANINESS OF THE MOTEL. THIS MOTEL IS LIKE A SECOND HOME TO ME.
