Awesome
After booking the tribe in the Grants Pass Oregon Travelodge, and the San Juan Motel in Anacortes, I got Kudos for finding this place.
We stayed in Unit 103 overlooking the bay. The place was clean, well maintained, the staff was helpful and friendly, the manager even showed me how to hook up a DVD player to an old TV through the VCR. I didn't think this was possible.
This is somebody's second home that they rent out to make some bucks on as an investment. It's actually a condominium with a bedroom and sitting room that has a murphy bed in a closet. Fireplace, fully equipped electric kitchen, coffee maker, tv, dvd player, vcr, fm radio/stereo/cd player, carpeting, dining room table and chairs, platform rocker, recliner, nice couch, it's great. Sliding glass patio door and windows in the living/dining area look out over the bay and it's just about the most relaxing place I've ever been.
Take some movies with you, or go over to the local market and rent some, the condo is like a five minute walk to downtown and the store. If you are going to do serious cooking, you should also take your own favorite utensils like an egg pan, maybe your rotisserie, what ever. Pots and pans in the kitchen are real basic, but serviceable. There's some books, some jigsaw puzzles, but you may not find yourself spending that much time in the room as there is a lot to experience on the island outside. We will definitely be going back.
