West Winds Motel, Mt Vernon

I use to work for the owners,,Sadrew,,not spelled right,, he and his family were from Canada,, Indian nationality,,I love all walks of life,, they treated us maids like slaves and did not would not improver nothing at the motel,, they were disgusting and filthy,, I would clean and clean and clean some more,, the only part of that motel that was clean was the sheets and towels after I washed them all,, the rooms,, were not fit for maggots,, I am so serious,, they were not friendly owners at all,, they treated all the employees like slaves,,really they did,, The managers were then,, Jim and Pat,, wonderful people,, just wonderful,,they too treated them bad,,low pay and all ,, please not Jim and Pat were the best thing that happened to that motel and if Sadrew,, the owner would of listened to them ,, that pace would of made it,, Pat told the owner to put a little money in to the place,new carpet,, all new bathrooms,, and beds,, everything new,,some paint,, and then rent the rooms,, but no,, so it is what it is now, slum motel,, do NOT GO THERE!!!!!!!!The only thing good about the west wind is that it would be a good camp fire for making samores,, that's about it,, keep away,,nothing good there,, a Lot of people,killed them selves in those rooms,,and made a lot of crank,,,they still do I bet!!!!if the rooms could only talk,, stay way,, far far away,, ,, I lived there with my boy friend and my daughters,,we had the best room available,,I kept it so clean,,brought in new carpet,,my furniture,,,dressers,, I painted it,, disinfected it,, was so clean,,the best on the place!!!I used my own towels and all that,,my own beds,, ok,,I said it all,, Stay away,, unless you want samores,, you know,, chocolate,, marshmallows and Graham crackers,, if the place catches on fire,,if not,,stay away,,AN ex maid,,this happened in 1996?had to put 2006 that's the latest I could put in as a date I was there,

The West Winds Motel is now under new management. We are slowly upgrading all rooms and will soon be remodeling to add more rooms. Security cameras, clean rooms, good people are now initiated. 30 years later, the west winds is now upgrading. Come see us for the same great prices, with personable service and on site maid services.

I made a res on Thur for sat night, non smoking. we arrived around 6 on Sat and the man at the desk (not the mgr, who was not there) said they had lost my res. After a few min of looking around, the man found the piece of paper on the desk, it was not in the file he had been checking (No computer system apparently.) He said all the rooms were booked except for one smoking room. He showed it to us - it was smelly, dirty and disgusting., he offered to lower the price for us from $58 to $50. we said no thanks and high tailed it out of there. By the way it seemed that the clientele was the rent by the hour type! Do not waste your time or money with this place. It seems to have poor management, poor organization, poor service, and poor quality of rooms.

This was the second time i've stayed at west winds on the way to Seattle and it looks like the management has changed as the service is much better and more friendly than the first time i was there a couple years ago. It's for people on a budget or just doing an overnighter so it's no Hyatt but for the price you pay it's quite clean and comfortable enough.

I recently had a friend from south of Seattle come up and stay at this hotel, the west winds in mt vernon. I paid for it in advance for 2 nights and had the receit. My friend called me the first night and they said they knew nothing of it. They figured it out but then the next night they said i hadnt paid for two nights which i did wheni booked it and they had no clue what was going on. Horrible service, do not stay there.
