The Park City Peaks Hotel, Park City

My husband and I and 2 teens stayed 5 nights at the end of the ski season of '09, and it was very nice. Breakfast was terrific and rooms were good. The only real let-down was that the bus schedule had changed from the one we were given, and we ended up waiting and waiting for a couple of busses that never showed up. Management could have been helpful here with a current schedule. We were about the only guests there by that time of season.

First off, we were told that they held a free continental breakfast. When we got there, somehow that wasn't the case. The movie channel was down for almost the entire 3 night stay... the chain lock fell off the door (GREAT security!) and that was by FAR not the worst of it. There was some mis-communication regarding a $100.00 deposit we had to put down in case we "damaged" anything (what kind of customers do they have staying here where they need to do that?). I called the owner and front desk manager, Kathy, and left 2 or three voicemail messages over a weeks time period to try and figure out what was going on. They were never returned. When I finally did get ahold of her, I had to call into the front desk and ask them to go get her because she never answered her extention. When I explained what my confusion was regarding the re-fund policy of the $100.00 deposit, Kathy got VERY beligerant and rude, at which point I told her to calm down. She abruptly yelled, "Goodbye!" and hung up on me. I immediately called back, asking why she was so rude to me. She gave me excuse after excuse, yelling the entire time, saying that she deals with confused customers regarding the deposit policy 4 or 5 times a day. So obviously this isn't the first time this has happened. It turns out that the whole ordeal was simple mis-communication by the front desk clerk in regards to the deposit policy. Kathy never returned my phone calls, when asked why, she simply said, "I don't check my messages because I work night shift... you should have known that!". She continued to yell at me and try to make a fool out of me throughout our entire "conversation". In the end, I gave her a lecture on customer service, stating that in the 10 years I have been in the business of dealing with customers, I have never been treated so rudely, ESPECIALLY BY AN OWNER. She started back pedaling and appologizing. I will NEVER stay here again... and to anyone who has read this, let this serve as a warning to the kind of treatment you will get as a whole. NEVER STAY HERE... unless you want to be treated like scum.

Ilove the hotel the pool the bar but we were not happy with the food service . we came to this hotel when it was the raddison . the food was great every time, you need better cook's and help. but love the hotel. thank's Tammie

Spent the night at the Radisson to enjoy the 4th of July festivities in Park City. The rooms were nice, loved the big swimming pool and huge hot tub outside. The staff on the other hand need to take some courses on Customer Service. At check in we were not greeted with a hello or hi, waited for 15 minutes until the front desk girl finished her personal phone call. She acted like we were intruding on her personal time. Not friendly at all. Ate at the restaurant and the waiters and waitresses seemed like they were in a rush although no more than 5 people were in the restaurant. Ordered what was on the menu and had to change our choices 3X due to not having enough of a certian ingredient. We ended up taking our business elswhere and fell in love with the rest of Park City. Next year we definatley will look elsewhere to stay

I am writing this email and intend to send a letter as well to the Park City Radisson due to some very poor customer service regarding my reservation. I made the reservation for two friends who were married yesterday, August 19th. I phoned your Park City resort to ask about upgrades and to explain their situation. My friends had no money for a wedding, not to mention a honeymoon, so my husband and I decided to send them to Park City for a little R&R after the wedding ceremony. I called yesterday and spoke to a girl at the front desk. I explained the situation with my friends and asked if there were any kinds of upgrades or honeymoon packages available that I could add to their reservation. Her response was "my boyfriend's son got married today and I've been looking for something for him. If we did have it, I'd get it first." I was taken aback by her comments, but didn't push the issue. I then asked if there was anything special you did for newlyweds (I read on the web that if you ask, you'd do whatever it took to make the stay special). She said there wasn't. I asked about their king suite that I had booked (about 2 weeks ago) and she said that their weren't any king size suites available that night and though I repeatedly explained that I had booked a king size room on purpose, and according to the website, paid for the difference, she insisted that it it didn't matter because they'd get two queen beds and they could just "bounce on one and move to the other." This was a little too much , so I said thank you and hung up. I was very offended by her comments and had I known her name I would have called back immediately and reported her. This is not the kind of customer service you would expect from the Radisson. This is more what you would expect from a broken down motel above a bar hall. I only hope that my friends enjoy their stay despite what I experienced. This is just simply not acceptable, and should it be possible, it is my hope that this woman can be sought out and reprimanded for speaking in such a vulgar and unprofessional manner. Absolutely loved the place! We attended a 5 day family reunion there- everything was 1st-rate! Beautiful accommodations, the staff was absolutely wonderful; housekeeping was on top of their game. The setting is absolutely gorgeous with views of the mountains and within walking distance of downtown and historic Old Town Park City. We also enjoyed the pool; the very large hot tub is a wonderful place to enjoy the cool mountain evenings.
