2 reviews for The Historic Redstone Inn, Redstone
Anniversary disaster
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/15/09
We were married at the Redstone Inn 25 years ago and returned for our anniversary last weekend. We were sad to see the horrible management of the hotel and the current condition of the hotel. The rooms are absolutely not worth the going rates. The lack the most basic amenities. The staff was rude and unprofessional. I was told when I called for reservations that we would not need a dinner reservation. When we arrived at the empty dining room we were told they would only be serving people with reservations. Turns out a disgruntled employee wanted to leave early and was directing all diners to the Grill instead of the dining room. It rained during the night and our breakfast was served in the Grill along with large paint buckets which were placed on the counter to catch the water leaking from the ceiling! At check-out the clerk would not end a personal call to wait on people checking out. The clerk was rude and didn't even bother to ask anyone checking out how their stay was or even to say thank you. Don't even think about staying at this overpriced and run down facility.

Rooms are dilapidated!!
By Bryan, 11/19/08
This is a quaint location but the veranda room we stayed in was horrible! The room had stained green carpet that was becoming unglued, the tub was stained black, there was no iron, no hair dryer, the sheets and bedding were probably 30 years old, and the radiant heat pinged so loud that it kept us up the entire night. The toilet ran continuously and was not fixed despite our asking. Basically, the condition of our room ruined our anniversary. I wish I had read some reviews prior to visiting. For this price ($180) you can do much better (like a Motel 6!)
