Motel 6, Pueblo

Was told there were no handicap rooms left and that they had rented most of the rooms due to a dog show. Was told she could not promise a ground level even though I am handicapped and cannot do stairs. Told her I could turn her into ADA. She did not care. Had stayed there last year for the dog show. That time we did get a ground level room and every other time we were there. But the last time the door would not close and there were bugs in the room. Also they had increased the rates because of the dog show.

When we checked in, only one room out of 4 were ready so we left our luggage in that one room, went to eat and came back to find the key card no longer worked because the cleaning people had returned to the room. They tore up and threw our itenerary for the trip in the trash can, and we had several items missing from our luggage (that were recovered about 4 hrs later stuffed behind laundry bins in the laundry room). When we talked to the front desk, he was new and tried to reach the manager constantly for several hours--only to find her and her family swimming in the pool! The situation was handled poorly from the management end, the rooms could have been vacuumed a whole lot better and a little air freshner would have been a bonus. Ohter than quick access to the highway, this hotel is not even worth the discounted price!
