Description

The Aurelia Residence San Pietro is situated at 145 Via Aurelia - one of the oldest Roman roads - in the heart of Rome, a stone's throw from the Vatican City. Walk a few metres of the old road and reach Saint Peter's Basilica, the Audience Hall of Paul VI, the Auditorium S. Cecilia along Via della Conciliazione and the Tunnel, which leads you to Corso Vittorio Emanuele and hence to the historical and commercial city centre. The Apartment hotel, composed of, 25 apartments, in different sizes, elegantly refurbished and equipped with every comfort, is located in a modern residential development surrounded by vegetation and built by the owners around the mid-Seventies. The development is divided into two blocks, named 'A' 'Raffaello' and 'E' 'Michelangelo'. The Michelangelo block houses the medium- and large-size apartments, the Reception, the Club House- where the guests can enjoy a lavish buffet breakfast - and the balcony, offering a view of the magnificent dome by Michelangelo. The Raffaello block, more secluded, houses the smaller-size apartments. A garage with 25 car parking lots is situated in the basement, with entrance from no. 141 Via Aurelia.

Learned my lesson...
By Rick, 3/29/10
I booked this place optimistically thinking it would be acceptable for skiing and relaxing. The town sounded charming and quaint. I was wrong! The owners were difficult and lacked basic communication skills. Poor lighting, burnt out light bulbs, foul odorous rooms were the highlights of the place. Highlighting the stay was the uncomfortable beds with two pillows that were flatter than a 13 year old gymnast. The hot tub was randomly available for use and the pool is old and in disrepair. My son loves to swim but even he steered clear of the pool! The town is unfriendly and teetering upon recognition as a ghost town. Most of the town is shuttered and the dining that is their is unpalatable and overpriced. Please learn from my mistake and drive the extra bit to stay in Silverthorne.

Looks better than it is. Will not go back.
By Randy, 3/17/10
If you want basic.. then its for you. you can barely understand the host, and they barely can understand your english as well. rooms boring. not as much as coffee pot or dryers. bad muffins for breakfast. you don not get any room service unless you ask for it. we had power go off this weekend at 6:15pm.. did not see any workers untill after 9:30pm. you had to search for answers to if the power problems was going to be fixed. a worker personally told us that this was a problem that has happened before and should have been fixed a long time ago. we checked out after 10pm. had to find another hotel. pack and move in the pitch dark. and you have to tippy toe around after 10pm.. they dont like noise there. and to top it off. just across the little stream in town. a place called Mountainbuzz pizzaria. very rude people there. used alot of cuss words even in the front of our four year old grandaughter. We stayed in Idaho springs. 11 miles east of this places. and had a wonderful time.

Spartan but Clean
By James, 2/15/06
This is a basic needs place. Rooms were very spartan with rustic wood furniture and a hot water radiating heater. Bathrooms needed remodeling. Everything seemed to be very clean though and staff was friendly. Better than most in it's 1 star class. It has a surprisingly nice indoor pool. Not bad for the money.
