Lava Mountain Lodge is located on US hwy 26/287 inside the Shoshone National Forest on the Togwotee Trail to Yellowstone, a designated scenic by-way. Surrounded by three unique mountain peaks with views of the upper Wind River and it's wetland meadows. Wildlife abounds in the area, see moose, elk, deer, grizzly bears, black bears, bald eagles, wolves and more indigenous creatures. We are close to Jackson Hole (65mi.) and Dubois (18 mi.),WY and only 35 scenic miles from the South Gate to Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. Hiking, Fishing, Boating, Bird watching, Snowmobiling, cross country skiing, snowshoe'ing, hunting, atv riding. Togwotee Pass is an outdoor enthusiasts paradise. At Lava Mountain Lodge you can enjoy the breath taking surroundings or tour the forests and national parks, go shopping in Jackson and/or Dubois, take in a Friday night rodeo(June-Sept) or relax in the atmosphere while sipping a cocktail on our deck or enjoying some fabulous food with friends or family. We offer vacation rentals, grizzly camping cabins(4 season)(new Summer '08), RV sites, tent camping, Lodge Rooms and a group vacation log home. We also offer a laundrymat, coin op showers, liquor store, general store, gas station and weekend BBQs Mid June to Mid September with Live Western Entertainment on Sundays during BBQ Season. Winter time is also Fun in the Outdoors with snowmobiling, cross country skiing, snowshoe'ing, ice fishing and on and on. If hunting is your thing, we offer discount rates for hunting season. Daily house keeping service comes with all units except long term rentals. New Summer 2009- Park Model Homes for seasonal, monthly, weekly or nightly vacation rentals. Our new Grizzly Cabins (Summer 2008) are affordable and bear safe alternative to tent camping and have heat, electricity, bunk beds and dining nook and are available all year, just bring your sleeping bag and pillow for a cozy stay. Our friendly front desk staff is very knowledgable about the area and is more than happy to help you fill your days with adventure by recommending things to do and/or places to see. We are kid friendly and biker friendly. We also have horse corrals available for those who wish to tour the area on horse back or during hunting season on horse back. ATV, Horse and Snowmobile tours and/or rentals are nearby and we can arrange most of these entertainment choices for you. The Wilderness Boundary Restaurant is located in the main lodge and offers hand crafted american cuisine at affordable prices and can accomodate most tastes. |
