Windsor Green, Wisconsin Dells

We arrived early, we not allowed into our room until 3pm. The room was dated, stank, no toiletries, soap dispenser in the shower. Only 5 channels on the TV. No coffee maker in our room. The pillows were flat, mattresses hard. Plumbing questionable. There were wasps flying around on the staircase to go down to our room. The pool was dirty. the only perk we saw was the tickets to Noah's Ark, which also included a second day.

We stayed here for 2 nights last weekend. The website is extremely enticing with the photos of the pool however, the place is in need of a fresh coat of paint and definitely some updating. it was shabby. Our rooms were $149/night so not a great deal. We did get 4 free tickets to Mt Olympus with our stay (2 for each night you stay there) but the weather was so lousy that the only option was to go to the indoor waterpark, which was small, cold and CROWDED. But that wasn't the hotels fault. As far as the "8" pools they have, well, the indoor pool was FREEZING and had 1 dinky slide and a few pieces of candy to climb on. There was a small kiddie pool inside and a hot tub. The outside pools were nice but again, need some paint and bleach to kill the mold and moss growing. The rooms were standard hotel rooms but the beds were slightly uncomfortable and needed updating. It was clean though. The bathroom was dark. No microwave but there is a small fridge. I'd recommend a balcony if you have small toddlers that need to nap so you have somewhere to go while they do nap! Also worth noting - this hotel has a sister hotel in the Wintergreen which has a nicer indoor and outdoor pool area. As guests at the Carousel you can use the Wintergreen's pools too. They have more to do outside and inside for small children...probably up to 12 or so would be happy in either hotel. We ended up over there, wishing we had stayed there instead. So, maybe next time!

We stayed in a double room it was clean and had everything we needed the staff were so accomodating in making our stay comfortable. At $89 per night which included 2 passes to Mt. Olympus for each night stay you cannot beat that deal!!! We have 4 kids ages 4-11 they all loved the 10 pools and the Restaurant on site also provided good food. We would definitely recommend this hotel to families on a budget that want a nice stay & a good time.

For $89, we stayed in a clean 2 dbl bed room, had access to their indoor pools with whirlpool, and their 3 outdoor pools which were great for our kids ages 3 and 11. As a bonus, for each night we received 2 tickets to Mt. Olympus (normally $33 each), which made the cost of our room $23 and the $66 value for the tickets. The only thing I disliked was that the parking behind the hotel was dark. It didn't seem that the lights worked. There is no microwave in the room. You have to go to the office which isn't far, but they are only open from 7am - 11pm.

The hotel was in a great location, but that was about it. The room looked like something outdated from the 70's.The bedding was torn and with holes, pillows totally flat. It looks as though they haven't maintained the rooms very well. The pools(all 8 of them) were filthy and cold. The staff was not very helpful at all. I will not stay there again.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Carousel Inn over Memorial Day weekend. We stayed 4 days and 3 nights. They had 8 swimming pools and 2 very large hot tubs. My daughter was in heaven with all of the childrens water slides and fun atmosphere. The restaurant inside the Carousel Inn had the most reasonable priced food in town. The beds were not very comftorable, but all together I thought that it was very clean, fun environment, good value, nice staf, and they even gave us 6 free tickets to the Mt. Olympus theme and water park. We will defenatly stay there again.
