Chalet Landhaus Inn, New Glarus

I stayed there during a local event in May and was absolutely charmed by the Inn! The room was spacious and comfortable(mine had a hot tub) and the selection and food in the restaurant was fantastic. A bike trail is right out the back door and beautiful vistas in every direction....I would HIGHLY recommend a stay there to anyone who will be in the area!

Our Family was excited to stay in the picturesque town of New Glarus. The hotel brochure had us excited that we were staying at a quaint "theme" hotel. The room was very basic. It was semi-clean, but the hotel seems like it has seen better days maintenance wise. The pool was small with brown dirt patches. The hot tub was as sudsy as a bath - yuck. We were very disappointed by the free "contenential breakfast". On the table was a large bowl of Froot Loops, a yogurt like substance, cheese and sausage, and a few frozen pastries. Very Lame. For someone wanting to bike, the location would be excellent as the hotel actually abuts the trail. This hotel could be really cool. It should go "over the top" with it's Swiss theming and work on the details.

We stayed there about one year ago and were a little disappointed in the room, but it was o.k. We were most upset with the customer service we received the next morning at breakfast. The waitress was rude and practically ignored us. We were seated on another room - not the main dining room - and there was absolutely no one else in that room and we rarely saw the waitress walk thru. We felt like we were such a bother to her! But...our dinner experience at the New Glarus Hotel was fabulous. The waitress was wonderful and very attentive and the food was absolutely delicious. Can't wait to go back there again!!!

The hotel is a very nice place to stay if you are visiting New Glarus! I stayed here last year and was impressed with the rooms, swimming pool, and restaurant. Another user wasn't happy with the service or the restaurant - I have to disagree. The restaurant has wondeful Swiss food with a unique charm that is hard to find!

This was an excellent experience. The food was wonderful and the service was excellent!
