Beautiful rooms/beautiful grounds
I fell in love with this place the first time I stayed there. I'd been traveling with my folks that time and got them a room across the street at the Granville Inn thinking it would be very nice. Since they only had one room available there, I decided to try the Buxton Inn for myself. I wasn't expecting much since it was about half the price of the Granville Inn. Boy were we surprised. My room was twice as beautiful as theirs across the street. Filled with antiques and lush bedlinens and draperies. Their website and brochures really don't do the place justice. The courtyards with their fountains and greenery are lit up with little white lights at night and feature several statues.
I had the chance to revisit Granville a few weeks ago with a girlfriend of mine. We had another beautiful room and got to have dinner in the conservatory room of the restaurant. The food was excellent as well. I highly recommend the Buxton Inn and look forward to many more visits there. Since each room is different, it will be a pleasure to see what it will contain.
