The Extra Inn, Pittsburg

The Extra Inn had always been a clean, well kept place. However during my last stay there, the rooms were not clean, the carpets were wet (according to the person at the front desk "it must have been an air conditioner leak and the maitenance staff is off until Monday." (It was Friday evening). On Saturday evening there was a very large party going on in several room down from ours. At midnight we attempted to call the front desk, but there was no answer. We tried off and on until 1:00 a.m. and gave up. The party didn't break up until after 3:00. We notified the front desk the next day and they said, "sorry." As an additional note - we requested a non-smoking room. We ended up with what I believe was a smoking room that had been overwhelmingly sprayed with room freshener. In the end we asked for some type of compensation for our experience during that weekend. We were told that only the owner could give refunds and they would not be in for the next couple of days. Needless to say, we will not stay there again.
